But I never have done a whole config, I always edited them.

So you make the config and I modify it.

The BIS Styer Aug sound acutally fits the M4/M16 series very well.

I've edited it a bit and made burst for it...if any of you would like it...give me a *wack* biggrin_o.gif

why 5.56 bullets have indirect damage? crazy_o.gif

it's just armor piercing, non HE

my 12.7 bullets from my M82 don't have indirect damage either

I am not a config writer. I copied what I found on other configs + I got a lot of help from others. Apparently, I was not using your config, which I regret. And I promise to be better next time.  smile_o.gif

BTW, what is indirect hit anyway? I know what it means in English. What does it do?

For all intents and puposes, small arms ammo doesn't really need indirect hit in the config.

Gordy, it's just like it sounds. Indirect hit is an area effect, which generates the specified amount of damage to any objects within in the specified area of effect.

@King Homer, Ruafoss (sp) produces a 12.7mm AP round which would certainly produce an indirect hit effect.

I thought indirecthit was primarily for explosive rounds... 40mm grenades, HEAT cannon rounds etc.

I thought there was a different parameter which controlled the knockdown effect for a shotgun (I could be wrong, I'm not exactly a config expert).

There is also a parameter for HEAT, 40mm Grenades, it's called explosion = 1/0 or something, I'm not sure.

Well,

To be honest, hmmm...

I wanted to make a "name yourself" pack, which would include a

- Soldier model (Seal, SF -> the one's which operate in Afganistan),

- weapons for them plus various bonuses like the real XM177E2

- Air units (Sea King, Sea Stallion, Dragon, AH-1x, AH-64, MI-8, MI-14, MI-24/35, MIG-29, Cessna 0-2A Super Skymaster, UH-1B/F/C)

- marine units

That's it really

Ah yes, I forgot the Ch-46

I am really terrible at drawing, which means that it'll take time for me to make textures.

So, basically this is what I need - a good base textures. I can then produce some impressive textures (I know some cool tricks).

I can make models' UV's, which will help a lot in drawing.

also the reason why the pics of your m4s didn't show up in  briefing was because there were no paa files that were named in the cpp in the pbo file

make a few paa to make the weapons and mags to show in briefing

I just know a bit about p3d swap texturing cpp thats about it

but weapon configs i get cpp sample here and there from existing weapons and it gets easy

i still will volunteer for the weapon configs

i'll try search up some jpgs with good side views etc.

but your textures for those weapons are excellent

or better yet ask bas if you could use theirs
