Ermm..I am having trouble finding the SAF mod objects...anyone have D/L link to env-obj.pbo?

ashau valley is my favorite vietnam map-it is definately a must have for vietnam fans. It combines elements from all the vietnam maps-ilo ilo, ia drang, etc. It also has a nice "jungle" and mountain feel to it.

1. Dowloaded all pbo's needed for the new map

2. copied them to my vietnam-mod-folder

3. started OFP-Vietnam

4. loaded my vietnam-music-mission

5. flew with huey above the map while listening to "paint it black"

5. said once again "OFP is the game of my life!"

Ah, come on! That's five or six addons needed (which most of us already have). And this map it's surley worth the download time, as it's one of the best OFP-maps we'ver ever seen.

well, i really like this island, but the truth is that it lags up a P4 3.2 easily in some spots (rice fields), i was having 27 fps while flying on a huey with normal terrain and 1400 view distance, landed on a rice field and fps lowered to 8....

Unscripted War grass by Thruyesternum would have been an excellent solution for aditional grass placement, and it lags far less.

Also, at the mouth of the river on the SE corner theres a bunch of floating trees, apart from that its a beautiful island.

I think that the most of Nam terrains released in the past year need allmost the same addons, so its not so bad, I have the most of them in my Nam folder, all I have to do its copy the BAS-O.pbo there and another map or two to go in the NAM folder, time to download.

Parvus, do you use FatWombats nice hi-res island? If you do then you have to update them, don't have the thread handy but do a search... I had the same problem as you before.

I don't know if its just me...

but I can walk through all of the tall(ish) trees in the forest, the really tall ones.

Bug, or was it an anti-lag saving device? Either way, it just seems odd that my Hind goes right into the trees.
