SpecOp9 0 Posted July 30, 2004 Well, they failed horribly at the first Terminator game. So now they tried to pull it off again in this arcade-like game. And from what I just saw, the videos look so horrible, that it's funny. (Righ click save target as) Chase video No Problemo Crappy fighting Motorcycle chase You know whats funny? In the movie, the TX only took control of 2 police cars and 1 fire truck. Yet in this videogame, you are attacked by millions of spawning random police cars that take one shot with your shotgun to blow up. More vids here I love Terminator 3 and the others. Will always be my favorite movies. I jsut wish these sons of a bitches movie people would make a license with a semi decent developer. My personal choice would be Computer Artworks, who made an AWSOME movie to game conversion, The Thing, BIStudio (of course), or Rare. Who made the forever famous Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark. My god was Perfect Dark perfect. But I really hate to see movie to game conversions like this. I don't know what Atari is thinking. I would'nt publish this game for shit. Heatseeker 0 Posted July 30, 2004 It was pretty much expected, you didnt play the "Enter the Matrix" fiasco uh? damn was that a piece of shit . Atari? No thanks...
SpecOp9 0 Posted July 30, 2004 I Enjoyed Enter the Matrix somewhat. It was pretty fun doing flips and jumps off walls. By the way, did you play the XBox version? Because whenever I defeat a specific boss fight, the game locks up. Shows you how rushed things are. That must be the most horrible thing for a developer. YOu publish a game that locks up. And the game being made in the factory. Copy, after copy, after copy, after copy.
Baron Hurlothrumbo IIX 0 Posted July 30, 2004 The ..... 3rd (I think) terminator game (Rise of the machines?) was actually pretty good - it was one of the first games to have drivable vehicles and aircraft in it - way ahead of its time. This looks like it could be good, to be honest - but it won't be, because its been over simplified.
CrunchyFrog 0 Posted July 30, 2004 "She's preparing to attack" LOL, some cheap voice actor that could impersonate arnold would probably be better
red oct 2 Posted July 30, 2004 there is only one game thats based off of a hollywood movie that was actually awsome and that's The Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay. the game had it all, awsome weapons, wound decals, ragdoll physics, and some awsome hand to hand fighting, my favorite, you could walk to a enemy and as he was about to strike you w/ the stock of his gun, a timed button press would have you grab ahold of the his weapon, jam it under his chin and blow his brains out w/ his own weapon. the game play didn't really get repetative, there was only really one time where you had to back track but it was nothing and they certianly didn't go over the top w/ the hype like those idiots did w/ that pitiful game Enter the Matrix. supposedly i heard Vin Diesle himself took part in the developement w/ his own dev team. even did the voice acting. billybob2002 0 Posted July 30, 2004 I loved Riddick... One of the bext X-box games around. Quote[/b] ]Well, they failed horribly at the first Terminator game. You played the demo of this game that was with T3: Rise of the Machines game... Â It was pretty good but hard. Furthermore, the demo was a hell of a lot better than T3: Rise of the Machines game. Heatseeker 0 Posted July 31, 2004 I Enjoyed Enter the Matrix somewhat.  It was pretty fun doing flips and jumps off walls. Nope, PC version. I went searching for something and found it the day it was released, 60+€ for that big bug, cliping problems, squary graphics, cars with square wheels, poor weapons, 75% boring levels, anoying repetetive music, divx cinematics (i prefer ingame stuff), uninteresting a.i., no MP support, meh... list goes on. The fighting was pretty good though but everything else was terrible. Atari will have to work hard if they ever want to see some € from me again .
cozza 24 Posted July 31, 2004 I dont know. Did Atari do driv3r. That was bloody brileent Even had fucking great music
SpecOp9 0 Posted July 31, 2004 I did'nt see very good reviews for Driver 3. Â But I loved Driver 2. As for CO Riddick, I heard that game was awsome also. My personal opinion: Â There should be one dev team dedicated in only making Movie to game conversions. Â And not just any team, but a team who can do the right job. Quote[/b] ]i heard Vin Diesle himself took part in the developement w/ his own dev team. even did the voice acting. he sure did. He made a few racing games as well. Placebo 29 Posted July 31, 2004 I may be wrong but Atari aren't actually the developers of anything are they? Again I may be wrong but I was under the impression that "Atariâ„¢" is merely the slightly faded leather coat everyone keeps buying and dumping because they remember how nicely it once looked in the late 70s - early 80s? SpecOp9 0 Posted July 31, 2004 You are correct. Paradigm is the developer and Atari is the publisher. However I'm not sure if Atari had any dev work with this game in particular.

red oct 2 Posted July 31, 2004 Driv3r was crap. they could of really had something, but the missions where you were on foot were poorly done. the control was terrible and the only thing i liked about the game was the graphics and the car damage. if a car exploded, it would blow up into many pieces. GoOB 0 Posted July 31, 2004 I loved Riddick... One of the bext X-box games around. And it's made by Swedes too The best film-licensed game in my book is still Goldeneye for the N64. And ofcourse the old classical Terminator:War of the machines coin-op, I still visit Grönalund (amusementpark in Stockholm) just to play that game
Baphomet 0 Posted August 1, 2004 There's just something hilariously absurd about watching a terminator exoskeleton fight. Or get beaten up by some guy (a t-800?). The terminators from the movie t-100's I think were pretty stiff and robot-like which sort of makes their close combat potential a bit questionable. Either way, it was funny to watch but, it's typical to see some exaggerated horseshit like a guy flinging a huge robot around. Why people would like that I don't know. I'd rather see some less exaggerated slugging it out with more ripping off of metal appendages and breaking of them. It's for the X-box also, so you just know they're pandering to a whole new breed of bastard moron gamer. They're like and ungodly combination of self righteous PC gamers and drooling console jockeys.
