sneakysix 0 Posted July 15, 2004 Ive searched the net high and low for a small Rigid Raider type boat. Â Nahco and C Klink have come close but its not the look Im wanting. I know Extraction has a cool USCG boat but Im after a plain or norm camo version. What Im looking for is something like this.. Rigid Raiding Craft - (RRC) These small raiding boats 8 metre long, capable of carrying a section of 8 marines with full kit. The new Mk 3 RRC has a 240 BHP inboard diesel engine giving it a speed of more than 30 knots fully laden to a range of 120 nautical miles. or even this,, Of course when I say looking of course I mean hoping someone out there has one in the works.. Im online pay as you go at moment so I check back at weekends lol.. costs a fortune weekdays.. thx
ExtracTioN 0 Posted July 15, 2004 Not too soon but I rework the RHI from USCG and make a Seal version with mounted gun or guns And cargo for 8 passengers 1 or 2 gunners in in front 1 in back if Klink get multiple guns to work. And a driver

Rishon 0 Posted July 16, 2004 That's R.I.B. ...for her pleasure. Wow, you people make me laugh sometimes... I'd like to see these soon too, they'd go great with some combat divers!
Messiah 2 Posted July 16, 2004 They're planned by ourselves to compliment our Royal Marine 539 Assault Squadron (specialise in Amphibious assault) I do believe the falklands mod are making the Mk1 version for their mod.
FerretFangs 0 Posted July 16, 2004 They do look much like the ones our SEALs use, and it would only need a single .50 cal M2HB on the bow to be accurate. http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/factfile/ships/ship-rhib.html To be usefule for the SEAL mod, I'd think it would have to have seating ( Or laying? ) postions for at least six dismounts in the gunwales. Three crew total, including gunner, driver, and boat commander. *edit* Oops! I'm full of crap again... Make that standing positons for six dismounts at the stern. I was thinking the SEAL zodiac RIB, http://www.defenselink.mil/photos/May1996/960428-N-0000C-002.html and these: http://images.google.com/imgres?....rl=http
Messiah 2 Posted July 16, 2004 zodiacs and inflatable hull craft are not rigid raiders though... rigid raiders have no inflatable element to them, (minus life jackets). They are shallow bottom, low profile boats capable of high speed amphibious insertions, but theyr have one of the quietest engines around... http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/rn/data/gallery/medium/1064418009m. that vessel is more commonly used by the Fleet Protection Squad (a division of the 539 commando) who keep our boats safe from would-be bombers, hijackers etc
