I finally got it to work. Turns out I had neglected to ever download the 1.96 upgrade. That's what I get for not checking for periodic upgrades. Anyway, once I got it to work, it worked great. From a technical perspective the game runs smooth, no lagging even on my Pentium 3 mid-grade PC. The Afghan pack has some of the best landscape and objects I've seen. Very detailed. Looked just like the news reels of Afghanistan. Game play was pretty straightforward. Pick your weapons and equipment (binoculars are a must) and go driving. I only played through once, fairly quickly. I took the strategy of using pure, dumb luck to find the "game". Using that strategy I still managed to grease 6 or 7 of them. They did surprise me a couple of times by actually stalking me. That's where the S&W .357 came in handy. I did have a problem with the jeep repair option though. Didn't seem to do anything to fix the jeep. Overall it was fun. Despite what some may find as "politically incorrect" this thing is a hoot to play. I may un-pbo the game and add more "game" to hunt. I un-pbo'd it and did the following. 1) Added several more head of "game" in various locations. Singles and groups, and I gave them guns. 2) I linked that guy standing in the tent so he becomes my number 2, and then order him to take weapons. I make him drive the jeep. 3) I gave myself the big .50 caliber sniper rifle. I can reach waaaaayyy out and touch someone. Next I'm going to play around with doing all of this at night. Oh I know what you're going to say... "It's illegal to hunt after sun-down". But what the hey. I'll take my chances with the game warden. :-) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'm just temporarily tweeking it to satisfy my own sick-o sense of humor. When I un-PBO I usually never save that new file.
