Guess the Helicopter!

Recommended Posts

The rules are as follows: post a picture of a any helicopter (military or civil) and try to guess the name. Once the helicopters name has been discovered anyone can post the next helicopter! Keep images under 100kb.

I will start with an easy one:

Nanthaz, ineed.I find this thread intresting since only two months ago I was researching into helicopters from pre-ww2 relics to the high teck state of the art choppers of today-kinda something of a hobby.

For those intrested:

fockewulf.jpg

Quote[/b] ]e Focke-Wulf Fw 61 was the first fully controllable helicopter. It first flew in 1934.

Prof. Heinrich Focke and engineer Gerd Achgelis started the design for this helicopter in 1932. The airframe was based on that of a well-tried training aircraft. A single engine drove twin rotors, to the left and right of the fuselage. Only a prototype was produced (by Focke-Wulf). In 1936 it was demonstrated by Hanna Reitsch in Berlin, Germany. It achieved an altitude of nearly 8000 feet, a speed of 76 mph a flight duration of 80 minutes and a distance of over 50 miles.

EDIT:Nanthaz that`s an EC-135

People have failed to understand that in previous similar threads also. Please learn to wait so there can be some order in this thread and it wont become a useless thread full of helicopter images and every 5th helicopter gets a correct guess.

-edit

is it possible to ban people from specific threads? tounge_o.gif
