Silent N Deadly 0 Posted June 15, 2004 Sorry but I don't really understand what is this for. I might be stupid but can you provide more information about it. Does it tell your location on the grid while playing or what? Thanks -EDIT- I think I get it. Is it like a navigation thingy with waypoints and such?
wizzywig 0 Posted June 15, 2004 its the same as a map you select a square it then opens a zoomed square you then can select were you would like the marker placed it sends the grid coords to a script called select.sqs that then transfers the grid ref to (x,y,z) coords so that it can be used by setpos. it could be used to send a unit it a selected location or you could use it as a artilary screen selection the posiblitys are endless

Ninja_STO 0 Posted June 15, 2004 Hmm, sounds like a part of the new Cruise Missile system you are making Wizzywig? I see where you are going with this, just a little bit curious why it's not easier to use the map screen? Is this one able to do more than map clicks? Is it easier for scripting? Either way, sounds like an interesting feature. I too wish I could help, but my video resolution isn't up to par.
SpongeBob 0 Posted June 15, 2004 Gnat @ June 15 2004,07:43)]and I guess you will need custom pics for EVERY map ! Wow Who wants to do Tonal? Good idea, but its gonna take many many hours to do. Good luck
Chris Death 0 Posted June 15, 2004 Guys - to clear the confusion here: Wyzzywig made this dialogue map system to avoid using a hint message like: "now press M to change to map and click coordinates" As there's no way to force a map screen which is clickable too by any scripting method. The only way is a dialogue, like Wyzzywig did here. ~S~ CD
wizzywig 0 Posted June 15, 2004 hi all ok to realy clear things up it was an idear for the tomahawk system **BUT** its not accrate enuth to use with our tomahawk addon due to it only selecting map refence (IE55,IE56,and so on) its perfect for say mfcti or somthing like that im willing to have this as a open sorce project but not untill i get all 7 maps im planning captured and installed also in replay to SpongeBob maps are only suported that have a 10x10x100 grid refrence so any maps that are 20x20x100 will not be suported as it took me 18h non stop to get it this far any way im off now to get nov captured ill post screen shots

wizzywig 0 Posted June 17, 2004 Hi all ok beta time its supporting nov, desert, everon to use open the laptop select the buttons on right and use the middle buttons as top and bottom are 1st main map (TOP) Â 2nd button moves chopper 3rd button creates a LGB 4th button its a cluster effect 5th button is a hint box 6th EXIT (bottom) then select the map reference and it will start the correct script and give it the script the coord needed also i have done a bit of scripting in the button.sqs that are the sqs activated by the system so that is were you need to add your scripts when its finished dialogs are 2.5mb in size so you can imagine how much work has gone in to this any way i hope you enjoy the beta also can some one host this file and provide a mirror as i will be removing it in the morning due to server not liking mass file use Beta link will be invalid in 8h or less so please provide a mirror then click on wizzywig and its #map.noe.rar the addon is in the RaR thanks Wizzywig P.S.also can you report fix's or other ways to use the output oF a location thanks
