Don't think that you'll be able to make the AI crash a plaine itself in a target. It'll crash cause of a "mistake"   wink_o.gif  but not planed i think.

It should be possible, when you attach something like the BAS' Scud script to a plane.

It might require you to modify the plane's config, dunno for sure

setvelocity allows things to crash into each other.... could be done via script

yea maybe with a script, but i cant write scripts, i could make the model and the textures...

If anyone could make a script for me that would be great.

if it can be done with setvelocity, there would be no need to make an addon

but the hardest part would be to get the angle of the plane right, because in ofp you can't tilt an object in that dimension by script

I agree with aj_addons, except that these are quite incomplete: they dive towards the object, but not completely to ground level. In most cases, at impact point an explosion gets spawned approx. 40m in the air (where the vehicle is delete vehicled) and simultaneously at ground level

Yes it is. I'm working on an AI Airstrip at the moment, I can get any plane to hit a point on the runway within 10m at whatever speed I want, so slaming into the side of a plane will be easy smile_o.gif

You would have to camcreate a big explosion on impact, but thats about it. AFAIK they approached at quite a low angle so setting the pitch should not be an issue?

I suppose you could create bombs that had plane models, hook them onto an invisible plane, and then use a script to get the pilot of the invisible plane to lock on to the target. He'd then approach and "fire" a kamikaze plane.

i agree that would be the quickest and easiest way to do it. and id say it would have the greatest chance of working >90%of the time

Well not Kamikaze exactly, I'd rather they land in one peice. I plan on adding forced landings, Carrier landings and Glider landings along with the standard OFP Airbases and a custom Airstrip. But it will work just the same as Kamikaze, if you tell it to land on top of a building or large boat.
