Winter objects

Does anyone know where in the mission editor I can find winter objects (mainly buildings) that come with either Winter Nogojev and/or the FDF mod?

Maybe I'm blind, but I just can't seem to find them in the editor...

it's because they are not in the editor!  tounge_o.gif

at least for the houses from FDF mod....

and about winter nogojev it's the same.

so be happy about your eyes, they are ok! biggrin_o.gif

Hmm, so if they're not in the editor, how do I go about placing them on a map?

use "camcreate" function and ask the names of the FDF objects to the members of the mod?

i don't know an other way to do it.

maybe someone will post here telling me that i'm wrong and that they are in the editor.

Is it possible to camcreate objects using their numerical ID's? rock.gif  

I tried this a few times in the editor but was unsuccessful.

I think it should work if u place a for exampler helipad on the map, save the mission and then change the name of the helipad in the mission.sqm into the one of the object you want to have. That works fine for me. This way i places the very nice Radio tower out of the finmod on Nogova.

Yep, I found those, thanks, but I'm mainly looking for the buildings.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to create something like "Kegetys Editor addon", but specifically for Winter Nogojev/FDF mod...of course, it would only be for personal use, and I wouldn't release it without the respective authors permission... wink_o.gif

All you need to do is:

hint format ["%1",typeOf (object #id)]

in a trigger's condition field, or script or whatever else,

if you prefer a special method to execute commands wink_o.gif

:note - for #id you have to type the id number you mentioned

That technique was used in pre-resistance era, but IMHO

it looks odd when switching on the map screen - a lot of

yellow squares wearing question markers.

Thanks for this tip MEDICUS, it worked and I can get to play with that lovely radio mast from FDF.

In the mission file you have to replace the "helipad" name with the CLASS name of the object (these are found in the config.cpp file ie the mast in FDF comes in two parts - FDF_MastoBase and FDF_Masto.
