(Ground-Air Missiles) like the SA-8, SA-9 and Patriot

The question is: Anyone have maked that?

I have looked thru the other post but can't find anything about SAM.

There is SA-11 on ofp.info.

I would sure like to see some older SAMs that are more commonly used like SA-6.

Great! Patriot is a radar based AA system, maybe thats

importaint to have when you are makeing the SAM.

Like the artilllery to CoC (Obelix) you need a radar dome or

a long-range mobile radar to make the SAM work.

Sorry my english.

EDIT: Got a website to EEC?

No site ... wink_o.gif

Just can say: Patriot LS (Pac2 & 3) models (detail lod) and Patriot RS is done. Already beeing textured by Daan for the moment. Can't say much about the Patriot "launching" concept and its package, but is beeing worked on.

Still in early stage, but we have big plans for it (like making it towable..ext but not tested yet). All that depends a bit under witch "country" we will bee working that out. For the moment, project is under Dutch flag. But we first gonna concentrate on the patriot itself. We also are working on some "extras".  tounge_o.gif

@Waffendennis: No, new models and textures  wink_o.gif I (and Daan) decided to make a more detailed model, after we got his old model working ingame.

@Bratty: indeed you did, but that was on Daans old model.  sad_o.gif But there is already somebody wink_o.gif who is relooking the launching concept to make it more RL.

*First of all I want to make clear the addon is not made by EEC*

I got the old patriot model ingame myself so there must be someone else working on one too.

I'd also like to say that we're working on a HAWK missile platform too, to accompany the patriot and watch his back.

This was the old patriot model:

This will become the new one soon:

truste2.jpg

Both systems will need radar units in order to work. As it looks like right now the scripting is in the good hands of Matthijs of the lowlands warrior team and CoC.

oh and yeah I'd like to keep it under the dutch flag for now as it was the main idea back when I was working on the old model. I've had enough of the fact that only the big nations are represented in OFP. In real life multiple nations fight a war together. That's what NATO is for anyways. when it comes to airpower and airdefence, NATO often calls upon The Netherlands.

Lovely texture Daan, its just the thing I need.

As I said earlier, the Patriot SAM is a radar based AA system.

Good work!

EDIT: Got a link to the old version?

Remo made some fantastic SA-2 and SA-6 AA addons in his North Korean mod. The only problem was that the missiles didn't have disappearing proxies so when you fire them they are still seen on the launch rails. But still they look excellent and perhaps someone (if Remo hasn't already) can fix them up. You can find them at:

http://www.ofpd.org/flashpoint%20Korea.htm

This is one of my favorite mods and is great to pit against the BOH soldiers. smile_o.gif

But anyways check out the SAM's in this mod. They are fantastic!
