napalm02 0 Posted March 14, 2004 I try addrating -10000 (My all unit group shoot each other...)or west side in mission.sqs it doesn't work (don't stay west but CIV), I want a group of civil (me in leader) who can be attack by east side...but when my civil group attack the east, the east don't shoot... How can I change the side of my civil group ?
doc_no1 0 Posted March 14, 2004 Group the civilians with east or west soldier with high rank. Colonel or major. Then add "deletevehicle this" to the init line of the east/west soldier. Then the civilians will be east or west.
Harnu 0 Posted March 14, 2004 Or you can set the west soldier's "probability of prescence" to 0%
napalm02 0 Posted March 14, 2004 This doesn't work the east don't open fire on civilan...they shoot west but not civil. When the west probability 0% the geramn don't shoot on me and I'm not leader.

Yes, it does work, I just tested it. Do this: Open up the mission editor on desert island Place a civilian man, you as the player Place a west soldier, set his probability at 0% Place a second civilian Group this civilian to the west soldier. Make sure you group the civilian to the west soldier, not the other way around. (press F2 and click and drag from the civilian, and release on the west soldier, so that the civilian is part of the west's group, and the west soldier is leader) Place an east soldier Preview, and they will shoot at each other. Make sure each one can see the other one, and test it out. I tried 4 times, first the civilian looking at the easts back, east died. Then vice versa and the civil died. I had them face each other, and they shot each other, and had them face away from each other, and no one moved.

When the west probability 0% the geramn don't shoot on me and I'm not leader. What doc_no1 said should work. I have tried this with many of mission when i want to be civilian militia. 1) Create a west Soldier (major) 2) Create a civilian man (private) 3) Group these using F2 4) Put in the west soldier's init field <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">deleteVehicle this; 5)Now when you add east soldier they should fire at the civilian man. Providing you have like a search and destroy waypoint for the east soldiers. Hope this helps Aook
redface 1 Posted March 15, 2004 we underestimate that the "group" command isn't very familiar to most people "group the civilian with west with F2" means "click F2", then draw a line starting from the civilian unit to the west units' leader

"draw a line" means to click and hold on the civilian unit and drag to the west unit's leader. Â
