Unified animations pack v1.0

What size are we talking here in terms of megs?

I'm the kind of person that hates huge packs of things. It severely limits your choices if you don't have 1+gigs of ram to throw about if there's one thing in say five huge packs of things you like.

My problem with this is if it would easily strip most normal systems of their physical memory before even being put to use on the actual game. Which means limited performance.

Since however I can get these anims in slightly more individual chunks. I don't mind at all any initiative to consolidate them. It's just if I'm forced to choke down one huge pack or leave it.

That's when I start getting a bit cheesed off.

Just wondering, a bit ot though, isn't the anim's skin-based rather than bones-based? How do (can?) you make new models look ok with old anims?

LOL, some of you guys crack me up.

Hunt i know there are some animations like the following

like aim1, knee4, knee 5 etc. Do u think you could possibly make 2 aminations based on guy 1(or 2 or 4) and 3??

When scripting for missions i always hated not knowing what all the animations were. So i have made a little word document guide with all the static animations from this pack. The pictures aint gonna win any OFP:CP awards but they show you whats going on.

Yea hunter, you may be fast....but the quality on your anims are barely hitting average....

The weapon isn't correctly fitted on the shoulder(as I see from here) and the body, lower abdomen is twisted, which causes stretching of the textures.

Next, on your kneeling animations, some of them are so far-fetched that it would normally break a persons anchle(sp?) in real life. I suggest you actually pop in the weapon and unit you are editing so you can get this picture perfect.

Now I know mine aren't perfect, but I just recently found out a way to make them look mint.

Don't take this offensive, just pointing it out.

But change that rifle and the position is correct..

And i never said that all my anims are perfect ..

Im with u in that point that some looks overstreched.

But hey i have exactly 102 Anims and i think its ok when 10 looks wierd smile_o.gif

I wish someone would make animations to replace the most common of the old and crappy standard ones, instead of making hundreds of static ones sad_o.gif

I have allmoust replaced all old once with my own.. smile_o.gif Ofp reborn biggrin_o.gif

I have one in the works, but I just don't have the time. I might as well release it now as a beta, would you guys mind if it was a beta?

I think for a good replace pack u need 107 Anims and that not all.

I dont know how much that be.

Will u release that ?

Is the misplaced issues due to not putting stuff in the right places, or drift due to different models?

ok im not too smart, but with this pack can you cahnge how your player walks and stuff? Or is is just special times or for cutscenes mostly? For example if i got this pack could i make all my guys aim more naturally all the time and crouch different all the time?

cutscenes and stuff mostly, it is all done via waypoints and triggers.

Wilco is talking about releasing a pack which changes the default OFP animations

that would be lovely if wilco did that wink_o.gif well it looks cool, i just wish it all worked in gameplay. personally i cant wait for inv44s anims. but it looks like we might have to wait a while for those. anyways new animations are always needed good job guys.

Ok I just tried this Anim pack thing. It is ok, but I really don't like the new aiming anim. It just looks too funny for me wink_o.gif. I love the new anim that when you shoot a guy up close, he goes flying backwards. I know this is really unrealistic, but funny as hell biggrin_o.gif. Besides that, good work Wilco. I like the running anim and especially like the new crouching anim. Thanks for the pack! smile_o.gif

We´ll guys I´m sorry about this dumb question but how can I make the anims to happen for a long time or forever?

I´m using couple of them but when some get started some others just end.

Could anybody help me?
