Ok, why equal rights for Syria, but not for Syrians?

Why equal rights for China, but not for Chinese?

Why equal rights for North Korea, but not for North Koreans?

Why equal rights for Iran and Iraq, but not for Iranians or Iraqis?

Why equal rights for Afghanistan, but not for Afghans - and no rights for Afghan women?

Why arms for Kosovo, but not for Dafur?

So much for the freedoms presumed to be espoused by the UN.

Actually i never did insult other members who didnt agree with me. I remarked on several unnamed members for the pettyness of thier arguments, not for agreeing or disagreeing with me. Insulting people who dont agree with you? Thats your style not mine. wink_o.gif

Besides I dont think the decision to back out of an argument with you and let you win it is either childish and picky...correct me if im wrong but, i let you have the argument and...well, here we are....the only thing i can figure of this is that you must be sore that you havent had your bloodsport...poor poor Avon...ahh well, theres plenty more forum members to pick on for your little bit of fun, ya know. You dont have to keep going after me.

Enjoy your evening smile_o.gif

Why stop there? Let's whoop it up!

Quote[/b] ]PA cartoons: Bin Laden deciding US elections

By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook

The Palestinian Authority (PA) continues to revere Osama Bin Laden, and even suggests that he has the power to dictate America's future. In response to Bin Laden's taunting and vaguely threatening message to the US, released Saturday by Al-Jazeera, cartoons in two PA dailies today show a gloating Bin Laden determining the outcome of Tuesday's US presidential election.

The first cartoon shows a rifle-toting Bin Laden, triumphantly astride the conquered ballot box, while George Bush and John Kerry - depicted as much smaller and weaker than Bin Laden -- cower below him.

31-10-04A%20Bin%20Laden%20standing%20on%20the%20ballot%20box.jpg

[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, October 31, 2004]

The second shows a smirking Bin Laden casting what is obviously meant to be the deciding vote in the US election.

31-10-04A%20Bin%20Laden.jpg

[Al-Quds, October 31, 2004]

Besides mocking the two presidential candidates, the tone of the cartoons reflects the PA's continued admiration of Bin Laden's power. Palestinians danced in the streets after the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The PA-controlled media has continued to celebrate the anniversary of 9/11 with mocking cartoons, such as a fearful Uncle Sam running in terror from an image that depicts both the Twin Towers and the date, 9/11.

Today's cartoons suggest that should he choose, Bin Laden has real power to determine the future of the US -- just as the train bombings in Madrid are believed to have changed the outcome of the Spanish elections.

I hope those are not live rounds, as that would be a tad illegal in the UK.

I suggest, that if they are live rounds, you take them to your local police station, and hand them in. I don't know who you got them off, but they should not be in your posession.

If they are not live rounds, but empty catridges with the bullet wedged back in, then your analagy doesn't work.

Cartridge of the LAW spotting round

Blank 5.56mm  (SA-80).

5 linked 7.62mm   (M-60, GPMG).

A round (cant remember the size) off an Iraqi T-55 coaxial mounted gun.

2 Grenade Pins

Think thats it. But all (part from the blank) have been "de-commisioned", you can tell by the little dint at the bottom of the bullet. The gunpowders been took out.

And i have a real smoke grenae lying around in my cupboard.

Maybe the Agent Orange or something else got to him, I'm sure Bethesda Naval Hospital is well equipped to take care of him, after all it was Kerry's job as a Senator to vote on military appropiations. The president just submits them, the house and senate vote on them.

More on Rhenquist... AP news

Quote[/b] ]

Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist disclosed Monday that he's undergoing radiation and chemotherapy for thyroid cancer and said he is delaying his expected return to the Supreme Court, a sign he may have a more serious form of the illness.

Rehnquist had planned to join fellow justices when they were back on the bench after a two-week break. But instead he issued a statement saying "at the suggestion of my doctors, (I) am continuing to recuperate at home."

Rehnquist was released from a Maryland hospital last Friday after undergoing surgery to have a tube inserted in his throat to help his breathing.

The court has released no details about his weeklong stay at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, except to say that he had a tracheotomy. The type of thyroid cancer and its severity have not been disclosed.

Quote[/b] ]

Dr. Ann M. Gillenwater of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston said that the combination of chemotherapy and radiation is the normal treatment for anaplastic thyroid cancer, a more serious type.

Quote[/b] ]

"According to my doctors, my plan to return to the office today was too optimistic," he said. "While at home, I am working on court matters, including opinions for cases already argued. I am, and will, continue to be in close contact with my colleagues, my law clerks, and members of the Supreme Court staff.

In his absence Monday, Justice John Paul Stevens, 84, presided over the court. He said Rehnquist could still vote in cases being argued this week, after reviewing transcripts and briefs.

Rehnquist left his town house outside Washington in a wheelchair on Monday morning. Journalists were kept on the sidewalk and unable to see much as aides helped the chief justice into a limousine.

The combination of radiation and chemotherapy raises the suspicion that Rehnquist's cancer is not one of the common types that are usually easily treatable, said Dr. Joseph Geradts of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y.

The most common types are papillary and follicular cancer, and they are generally responsive to radioactive iodine, Geradts said. Chemotherapy could be needed if it is the more aggressive form, called anaplastic, he said.

He noted that the gland is often removed as part of cancer treatment, but in cases of anaplastic cancer the thyroid sometimes cannot be readily removed.

The presence of a tracheotomy to ease Rehnquist's breathing also might indicate anaplastic cancer, Geradts said, since that form can squeeze the trachea.

Polls cant be trusted anyway. Margin or error is at minimum 4-5%. Thus its too close to really predict. However, on issues like war on terror, Mr Bush's lead has dropped from 22% to 11%, indicating he is loosing ground in the areas he was previously much stronger in.

Quote[/b] ]What John "the seared man" Kerry is pandering up the ass with promises he know he cannot do...

You mean promises like trying to turn over the $7bn budget defecit your brilliant president has managed to run up? May i remind you he wouldnt have to turn the deficit around if Mr Bush hadnt run it up?

No Vote for Bush

Even though my comments have not been to good on the european politics thread, europe is not the US, you should vote for Bush as he is the only one to take the US to victory on the war on terror.

Kerry has commited war crimes in vietnam, that is why the veterans are against him. How can you, yes you, reward him for such evil activity. He has stood form on the ground that he is against the Human Rights for vietnamese as if it is passed he will be in trouble.

George Bush is committed to cut goverment spending and not raise taxes. He wants to help fight the AIDS epidemic in Africa, and he wants to whipe out Prejudice and Hatred.

John Kerry will repeal Bush's tax cuts to help the goverment spending, which Bush will cut.

Please make the right choice and vote for George W. Bush. This choice affects the world, not just The United States of America.
