Now that I've played the OFP for a while i want to make some suggestions :

I want a key like "jump to soldier" to play inside other soldier and not only  as commander. I´ll never worry about be killed, and I´ll play with all the weapons I need or like (sniper, AT soldier, tank commander and soon).  AI always make shit. I want to put human´s brain in every soldier.

I want crew served weapons like Carl Gustav, ATGW, mortar, automatic granade laucher (Mk 19) and .50 machineguns. One soldier carrier the launcher and other the ammunitions.

I want to choice a config to my keyboard to play without use of the MENU or insert de MENU itens in keybord config and save the set to each plataform I want. I want to use chaff, ECM, flaps, etc. I want to automaticaly change the config loading a saved config to each plane or amored.

Changing my keybord config I will be good use off some weapons. I fired a Japaneses Tomahawk (BOH MOD) and fell I need keys to control the missil with skid-to-turn like real live and not bank-to-turn. TV guided missile like Spike, Popeye and AGM-130 fired from aircraft will be useful. Maybe simulate a antiship missile lauched from ship and Helicopter. In ripple fire I want to guide the first and take command from others after the first exploded. This missile would appear in the radar to help the antimissile weapons (SAM and Flak with proximity fuse).

I want to control UAV with my new keyboard config. The troops on the groud can see the image and set waypoints to circle and control artillary.

When I´m a gunner off a gunship, door gunner or ever a gunner of a AC-130 I will need to tell the pilot were to go. I need control the plane like tank commander: left, right, cicle left, cicle right, up, down, fast, etc. First I hit a key like "take command" in menu bar.

I want a secondary menu bar to make rare things as animations.

Just some thoughts ...

All of those except Jump to Soldier and all your keyboard things I agree with.

The keyboard is fine as it is. You can, unless you can't move your hands fast enough, control everything fast enough.

Jump to soldier just sounds... a little stupid. It can be done in group respawn, but it's a little... well... when would you use it? To get out of the having no legs thing? No, just not practical.

The only 'jump to soldier' feature I ever remember seeing were in the Rainbow Six series, as well as it's bastard-offspring, Ghost Recon...

For me it was only a work-around for the friendly AI, who often seemed to be asleep at the wheel.

I have problem with the keyboard when I´m playing with choppers or planes. If I have to use the menu I spend much time releasing the joystick and handling the mouse. With the menu bar I spend to much time to do eject or fire flares. I have no problem playing with infantry.

When I play Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6 and Hidden and Dangerous I have this options to "change instance". When I want to clear a house I choose to play with the soldier armed with a submachinegun. When I want to kill someone at long range I choose to play with the sniper. I can do this inside the game and not before start the game. I don´t wanna see the AI solider do this things if I can do better and faster. When I´m killed I choose another soldier and go on without restart the game.

I remember this option when playing the PMC campaing. The game crashed when I restart. Then I have to play without to go to battle. If I could use the other soldier, any one of the dozens soldier available, I´ll never need do save game.

When I´m playing OFP sometimes I see the AI making wrong things or they don´t obey orders. If I could "change instance" I can do by myself.

If you are playing CTI or RST you could go direct to battle if you "jump to soldier" who's near the enemy.

I need also a formation option to my soldiers follow my track (column - follow track). Sametimes I see the soldiers surrounding the houses to keep formation and became exposed to enemy. Playing Rainbow 6 the soldier of my squad always follow my track.

I forget to say the Carl Gustaf and AT-4 are very very noisy and smoky. They make a big "clanc" when fired. The .50 bullet have a big smoke trail. The FAL rifle have little recoil. They only jump. An third generation night vision google have a better image then the NVG I see in OPF. I used this things in brazilian army.

some of the wishes can be done through user-made mods(FDF and etc).

something like player-jumping is not available due to engine limitation, but has been suggested in OFP2 suggestions thread.

Well with some clever setvelocities and an action, you *could* get a rudementary jump.

Just be careful to get the values right, don't want to get whacked by a jetliner tounge_o.gif

Yup, atleast the Carl Gustav is very noisy (i have used them both in the swedish army). But i don´t think it makes a "clanc" noise.. it´s more like a huge fucking explosion that kinda rips through the air like the crack of a whip that makes you shit your pants. biggrin_o.gif It´s not uncommon that the gunner and/or the loader have short blackouts and get disoriented when the weapon is fired due to the tremendous explosion. So i´m very dissapointed with the tiny noise it makes in Opf and would like to see the proper sound implemented for it too. I havn´t even seen a mod of all those that claims to be more realistic that has the proper sound or effect for the CG.

Yes i agree on that but what you see in Opf is probably gen 1 NVGs since the year is 1985.. One thing i find more disturbing in Opf´s NVGs is the overlay mask (since v 1.46??) that limits your fov. I know first hand that your fov is somewhat limited irl with NVGs but it´s not that limited.

There's always Inquisitor's NVGs

You need to un-PBO the Res Data and Data3D files to install them, and I get occasional crashes, but they give you a better field of vision and better image quality.

I downloaded the FDF mod. I play the Ranger mission. It´s almost perfect. I still need another way to control the UAV (key to up, down, circle left, circle right and left/right like a tank commander). I hope OFP2 will have a thermal camera. The TD and gimbal optics can be used in another plataforms as planes and choppers? The hellfire and other laser guided weapons neads a TD to be used.

With a "jump to soldier" I can see the UAV video while I´m playing in frontline.

I´m looking for the crew served weapons.

What I like in OFP is the option to play real time strategic games like RTS, MF-CTI and PMC. There is another options if I want a shoot and move game.

The Carl Gustav´s sound like a "clanc" when I say the word in portuguese. In brazilian army it´s called recoiless gun (CRS-84).

The .50 bullets I see are tracers. Viewed from behind I see the smoke trail. In another view I see only the tracer.

The NVG have a small FOV and it´s monocular. I cound´t see the enemy but I see your black faces and shadows moving.
