Weapon that can shoot round corners

Just came across a very interresting article on a Norwegian news site about a new weapon system developed by the Israeli's and now in use by their counter terrorist unit.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find an English version of the article, but you can check out this link to look at the pictures.

The yanks are apparently very interrested in testing out this new weapon.

nah gimme a mirror on a stick and gpmg and if you see some in the mirror just unload a belt through the wall or just chuck in a nade if the walls are a tad on the thick side

I've got a few issue with this weapon

I mean its got a electric motor in it hasnt it to rotatethe muzzel at the proper alignment with the target what if the motor makes noise? It wouldnt give away the soldiers position , the bad guys will immediately watse them with their spray firing of AK's . Or what if the electric motor burnsout /short circuits/ out of power?

I agree with AJ here, that there are more cost effective ways of dealing with a threat around a corner.

After all, even with that soldiers fancy schmancy technology, he is still in harms way.

Nothing special by the looks of it...the enemy will probably see your little muzzel rotating and maybe shoot it along with the little sensitive electronic bits and bobs in there.

Might aswell just throw a nade or something.

These weapons give SWAT teams and Special forces a bad name , what are stun guns and flash bangs for anyway? Besides this gun by the time it shoots one dude the others will probably kill the hostages in a histage situation.

I would go for the storming th building with Mp5's and flash bangs instead

Probably many people have thought about this when they have played SWAT3, I know I did. Cant belive they actually made the weapon, and I cant belive contries buy it

It cant be much harder to spot this gun going around the corner than it would be spotting the guy sticking his head out a bit. If a terrorist spots the gun he will probably shoot at it, injuring the guy with the gun or maybe throw a grenade around the corner.

Who do you think will be able to aim faster, the terrorist with the AK or the anti-terrorist with that sissy pistol?

Isn't the U.S. military developing a sort of camera that you put on the end of your gun so you can peek around corners? At least that rifle will work even when the electronics go dead .
