Consigliere 0 Posted December 17, 2003 Eurgh...Sorry to sound harsh but it really looks, well, just wrong, like console game-style-'flight-sim' wrong. Not realistic and not even good looking. He's just gone way over the top with this retexture. You can see every rivet, every panel line, every screw, every bolt, everything, which isn't how it should look. Shot is already over 1 year or more old ... pre BAS era  Still i think it s nice and i wouldn t mind it getting released someday. And it s not mine .. so no need to be sorry hehe, i didnt make that thing.
Consigliere 0 Posted December 17, 2003 What happened to it then? Perhaps someone could take on the job and tone down its 'cleanliness', bring it up to scratch
JAP 2 Posted December 17, 2003 What happened to it then? Perhaps someone could take on the job and tone down its 'cleanliness', bring it up to scratch  Nobody knows .... Satchel just vanished into thin air ...  Maybe Major Fubar knows, since he was eagerly waiting for this one too and he once made a topic about this addon. ozanzac 0 Posted December 17, 2003 Mayby it is a bit over the top now, or even then, but thats what I hope the standard will be when OFPII hits the shelves. Don't you?

@cero 0 Posted December 17, 2003 I find it rader sexy actually. It would go nice with Inquisitors weapons. But you would need to have a full game of addons like that, total conversion, because it looks out of place compared to most addons. I love the textures anyway. blackdog~ 0 Posted December 18, 2003 Well........ I have it.......... but I don't want to release it w/o Satchel's permission. Bribes are accepted though... :]

ozanzac 0 Posted December 18, 2003 OK then. I spose I'm just unsure as to how much of a graphical advancement that BIS has made with OFPII. Until then. I will wait. Quote[/b] ]Well........ I have it.......... but I don't want to release it w/o Satchel's permission. Bribes are accepted though... :] Hey, BD. How'd you get your mittens on it? Do you know where Satchel is? And what kind of bribe are we talkin about here?

Consigliere 0 Posted December 19, 2003 The A-10 is Inquisitor's retexture, and the Apache is the black retextured one. Np glad to see someone appreciates my work
ozanzac 0 Posted December 19, 2003 I think the A-10 is a retexture done by Inquisitor a long time ago, and the Apache looks like it's Silesians work. The A-10 is here Inq's A-10 *Edit* Wow, my eyes thought the Apache was dark green, oh well, still a great pic anyway.
Consigliere 0 Posted December 19, 2003 Yes it looks like Silesian's because it uses some elements of his retexture, like the Hellfires and the TADS, but it is the black version   *EDIT* LMAO! Ooops...Yeah you're right Oz. It is SILESIAN's retexture. Heh..Sorry bout that Silesian. I haven't actually bothered looking at the full size image for a while
Baphomet 0 Posted December 20, 2003 All's I know is the way addons are going it seems like the system requirements for the use of them in ofp will exceed the requirements for that of #2 if it continues. Which is rather disconcerting. Then again I'm all for instead of "more prettier pictures" trend as pc technology increases, more pushing towards the ability to have the maximum supported amount of entities in ofp with a decent framerate (hence less window dressing). With the way addons are going it's simply putting newer computers through their paces and keeping framerate vs entity count virtually the same. Which sucks. This is coming from someone who plays ofp not only on my aging 1.8 but on a 3.2 ghz machine as well. So I'm not exactly biased either way.
