hellfish6 7 Posted May 4, 2004 Actually, the MGS was developed after the M-8 was, yet is has proven an incredibly frustrating development vehicle. It still is in the prototype stage as the MGS still cannot meet the Army's operational requirements (too heavy, too tall, poor firing platform, etc). The Stryker brigade in Iraq took extra TOW vehicles with it because the MGS cannot be fielded. Though there are many good points about the MGS, there are also many flaws. I've heard rumors that one of the Stryker brigades might field modified M113s and M-8s instead of the Strykers because the Army can't wait for more Strykers to get produced and they need those brigades in Iraq (the 4 remaining Stryker brigades are all undeployable until they receive their Strykers, except the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, which is stuck in Iraq for a few more months). redliner47 0 Posted May 4, 2004 A Question: Will the Bradley pack be using BIS interior textures or will they be completely new? PS: Hellfish, I know a few guys in the 2nd armored Cav, from what they say its a nice unit to be in, they are quite anxious to get home
calm_terror 0 Posted May 4, 2004 one tihng funny aboot the stryker is the army deployed it in an area of very little combat so that it was not exsposed to it's flaws and they lose a half of them.. what is even better then the XM8 is the m113 HVMS made for the IDF. and will be made by Lost Brothers when I move from the old arba israeli wars up to present day. it is only a 60mm but packs one heck of a punch. PS: Hellfish, I know a few guys in the 2nd armored Cav, from what they say its a nice unit to be in, they are quite anxious to get home BIS. The BIS interior is correct as it is. I may go back and retexture it in the future. Things are arranged for each variant as it should be.
