Acecombat 0 Posted November 16, 2003 Hunters wesbite New anims were released by Hunter as his other topic got locked so i am starting a new one hope its OK by the Mod's. Anyway i couldnt install them could anyone tell me how to? The readme was in german i think or some other lingo i couldnt comprehend.... I wanna use these but how to install them? To do the Static animations: Make a waypoint for AI guy (only AI can use animation) and on activation field: this switchmove "stand1" Animations are: Stand1 - 7 Save1 - 5 of1 sleep1 (if you have the sleep.pbo installed) and some others :-) Read the readme for the others. Architeuthis 9 Posted November 16, 2003 Make sure you put it in waypoint 'activation' thingie. Problem is however, that the new animation is only displayed by the soldier for a short amout of time . Only AI I know your wrong because I already use them since they were released(except for the sleepanimPBO I only saw a picture of it)I want to know where I can get it? Skulleye 0 Posted November 17, 2003 These animations are really great. I like how the player finally have the same 'aiming while standing still' animation as the AI, I've always wanted that. I will definately start to use them, good work! Btw, are there any other animations than: aiming while walking aiming while standing still aiming crouched aiming prone gun on back gun on back walking? Lt_Damage 0 Posted November 17, 2003 The idea is good, i like what you tried for with the animations but they need a lot more work, as it is in safe mode the gun shoulds sway from side to side while they run, not stay rigid.. probably very hard to do as BIS used motion capture, you'd have to create the body movement by hand.. Maybe just make some really good "soldier at ease" animations, slightly swaying side to side holding gun in the way you have it. Might be easy enough without mocap. Peanut 0 Posted November 17, 2003 Nice animations, like them a lot For people that can't get the animations to work, you have to put them into the Res/Addon folder to make them work. I can do anims but the probem is i am geting out for some weeks months because i got some bat health problems... ECP do not currently work on animations at all, I mentioned their team as they are currently "Enhancing" ofp in scripting and AI / FX areas and I think they could easily have a division improving AI animations. I think if yourself and hunter and the others good at animations get together and work as team in future you can form up with a team, such as ECP. You *DO* need to work together though, I can't stress this enough, BIS used motion capture for their animations which takes a lot of the pain out of capturing lifelike movements, you would have to do it old school style and many hands make light work.
