I'm at a dilemma (about addon release)

Right i e-mailed Indy and Colorchanger both havent got back to me yet about releasing a RAF Tornado with realistic weapons (model by Colorchanger, reskinned to RAF by <>Crippler<>) these weapons so-far are HARM (High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile) anti-surface missiles, ASRAAM (Advanced Short-Range Air to Air missile) and the Sea Eagle were all made and textured by my fair hands BUT if i cant get their attention (for permission) will i release it anyway and put their names in huge writing in the credits? or let it die?

They may be away, give them time, if you release it and they'r not happy it will be all a waste of time, but if you decide not to release it I'll be guted.

Yeh i'm with you there- always best (legally as well) to get the permission. Does this addon replace my pbo file? if not, have you tried it without my addon being installed?

Well,All I can say is,If they dont respond to your request in 2 weeks,I would just go ahead and release it,And give credit where credit is do.I sure they wouldnt mind.But thats just me and Im not everybody.

It should be a espace in this forums for situations like that, where everyone with this problem could ask the comunity, and if the majority vote yes, release it.

If the original authors can't answer or can be bother to answer why should we be privated of nice addons that can come very usefull to the comunity.

If I was an addon maker and a situation like that happaned to one of my creations because I didn't contact the guy who change things on my addon, and the comunity decided for it to bereleased, well, what the hek, I wouldn't say a word...

Will your RAF Tornado be in the standard RAF grey scheme? It'd be nice if you released one in that temporary paint that they used in OIF...The acronym escapes me, but it looked good, especially all dusty and used looking

well again i must state this has not been edited in anyother way apart from the config file.... no other changes have been made till i can get the Un-Binarized models

lol yea i got a e-mail from indy telling me that if colorchangers says no then he cant change it, but colorchanger hasn't said no..... he hasn't said yes either.

After seeing recent embarrasment of a friend that the addon was pulled from hosts without permission, I wouldnt release anything without permissions.

I would be honored if someone took my addon and made more skins for it,matter of fact I almost relied on it,the more the merrier,i even made the skins so they were easy to make,luckily Subfaction did some great artwork,I suppose a artist might get offended if someone thought their work wasn't good enough or something

I think the First Tornado is an Mlod .p3d file.If its the model that was freeware.This one.

That blows.If you want I could send you a 3d model of a Tornado and All you need to do is mapp it.But if your not interested than its fine with me.

Oh yes, that could be really interesting.

Besides, I'm sure someone will have a nice tornado modell without textures that is in a need for a paint job
