RN Tommy 0 Posted October 17, 2003 I have the GOTY edition of ofp and it works fine until i put a addon in. When i put a addon in either addon folder and i open teh game up...i get a green screen. The only addons that worked were editor update and objects..Im am running 1.91 goty and i ahve a 3.0ghz p4 with 1gb of ram and i have a G force FX 5900 256mb vid card. Im running the newest directx. I also have the newest drivers for my vid card... I also tried teh no slpash and nomap stuff and i also tried the alt-tab....but nothing works.... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Placebo 29 Posted October 18, 2003 Welcome to the forums, you have some catching up to do, 1.94 is out, in general it's best to take a look around the forums to see if there is a thread that answers your question, makes getting an answer much quicker for you. Â if so id would install it as well straight away.. the league will upgrade to 1.94 when it is made offical from BIS also it's the end of the season for us 1 more match i think ill install the patch next week... The only workarounds currently known for 1.91 are: - lowering AGP apreture size in BIOS - removing some addons - Advanced users only: unpacking some pbos (there is a topic about this created by Kegetys, but you should do this only if you know what are you doing, as it is quite easy to dammage your OFP installation this way) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mr burns 132 Posted October 20, 2003 AGP Aperture size ?? great ! another hint to get my ofp runnin with the tonal island. since installing it (and probably 1.94) i have a lot of weird errors (green screen with weird textures at startup..). i´ll give a further explanation of my probs soon (it´s lunchbreak now ). redace 0 Posted October 20, 2003 I get the green screen too, at startup I get the 'FlashPoint' flash, then I can hear the music and can click on the buttons (if I can find them) but the screen is totally green! I've tried removing all the addons and still the same problem. I've uninstalled and re-installed but I haven't yet patched to the latest version. Has there been any fixes in the latest patches that may have fixed this problem? I'm desperate to play OFP again, I even went out and bought Ghost-Recon as a substitute, but it only makes me appreciate OFP more!! mr burns 132 Posted October 20, 2003 ouw...this is a really serious problem u have there. do u use -nosplash & -nomap as command line parameters yet ? (note that nosplash doesn´t solve the green screen but get´s u rid of the flashpoint splashscreens) ---- Now to my problem. When i start ofp w/o the -nomap (+ -nosplash -mod=bas(all addons),dkm,goldmembersexplomod,hisky) command it starts well until to the menu screen. there the lower half of the screen is green and the upper half is clear blue, all with a big unsorted texture mess in the middle (hard to explain. i post a screenshot of that when at home). so there i am...can´t see the menu or anything. when i ctrl+alt+del out to the taskmanager and go back to ofp it is fine and i can play ofp. Using -nomap solves this prob but i´m still haunted by random crashes (even in the editor) when i use the tonal island. i know it´s not bis´ island and i´m not blaming you guys for anything...i just hope that somebody knows how to solve my CTD´s Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Silverguy 0 Posted December 4, 2003 I got the same problem. I get a green screen, but I can hear the music and the sounds it makes when you move the cursor over options. I tried installing the 1.92 and the 1.94 Beta patches and STILL it had the green screen with certain addons. Does anybody else have some suggestions to try?
