acidcrash 0 Posted December 28, 2003 how many will your server be able to hold? mind if i drop in?
shadow 6 Posted December 28, 2003 I don't think anymore than 6 is doable with the current netcode in LO-MAC. Atleast I have'nt heard of any larger games without problems. Server is a P-III 1GHz+768MB. Should be enough for atleast 6 players. Sure, anyone can join. I'll post IP and a time as soon as I know we are set (should be around 20:00 - 20:35 GMT+1 tomorrow). If anyone wants to fly a F-15 I can add that too in a couple of missions as a escort for the Hogs.
shadow 6 Posted December 28, 2003 eeeeh LO-MAC does'nt have a dedi-server but that's not the worst part.... The worst part is that the devs have no plans to make one
acidcrash 0 Posted December 28, 2003 aye, thats why i was worried about if id be able to connect as its similar to the Falcon 4 system i think
FSPilot 0 Posted December 28, 2003 eeeeh LO-MAC does'nt have a dedi-server  but that's not the worst part.... The worst part is that the devs have no plans to make one    Bah! Would it work the same if you just hosted a game on the PC?
shadow 6 Posted December 28, 2003 I will host on my pc. I just finnished rigging at a friend. Got to see if I can figure out his firewall to open the necesarry port for LO-MAC. I doubt any more than 4 players will work. My gaming rig is a P-IV 1.8GHz, 512 RDRAM
FSPilot 0 Posted December 28, 2003 I could try to host it but i don't know how well it would work with my router. I've got a 2.26ghz P4, 512 SDRAM
shadow 6 Posted December 28, 2003 I could try to host it but i don't know how well it would work with my router.I've got a 2.26ghz P4, 512 SDRAM Fire away. Can you PM me the IP? Do you use msn or icq?
shadow 6 Posted December 28, 2003 Got alot of network-issues at my friend's adsl. Alot of on and off. No use of trying to host anything
Tex -USMC- 0 Posted December 28, 2003 I'd be happy to host a game sometime, might even play (though it might be better performance if I just perform in a quasi-dedicated server capacity). All you'd need to do is have one of you on comms with me, and just let me know when and what you want me to do. Just PM me with any missions you have and possible times, and I'd be happy to oblige
ale2999 0 Posted December 28, 2003 whenever u guys put the time, could u gimmie a time in est or mountain? I will be too lazy to look it up else... :/
FSPilot 0 Posted December 29, 2003 est or mountain? You commute with the concorde or something? EST = GMT-5 CST = GMT-6 MST (mountain) = GMT-7 PST = GMT-8 I'm gonna be gone for the next 2 days (instrument checkride, wish me luck ) so I wont be able to play. and it looks as if i cant host in the first place with this stupid router. JAP 2 Posted December 29, 2003 Very nice pic Shadow. Pressing "y" 2 times gets rid of the little menu in the bottom ... so it doesnt rape those beautiful pics anymore
aj_addons 0 Posted December 29, 2003 i ve been wondering about this any one know what pugachevs cobra is?
FSPilot 0 Posted December 29, 2003 A neat maneuver where a plane (I think the Su-27 is the only one that can do it) pulls back past the vertical (while climbing very little), then pushes it's nose back down to attack whoever was behind him. http://aeroweb.lucia.it/~agretch/RAFAQ/cobra.html
acidcrash 0 Posted December 29, 2003 a little track of me doing it (not very well heh) here well, the first bit anyway, the bit after i nearly crash into the runway was be nearly sending myself into a departure
shadow 6 Posted December 29, 2003 Pressing "y" 2 times gets rid of the little menu in the bottom ... so it doesnt rape those beautiful pics anymore  Thanks. I was wondering if there was such a function. Fortunately the windows-taskbar covers that part of the image nicely.

FSPilot 0 Posted December 29, 2003 Anybody wanna try a mission I made for the hog? Â You're basically defending your airfield. Â 6 T-80s, 3 BMPs, an Mi-26 and a camoflaged SAM site are in the first wave, troop transports are the second. Download.
acidcrash 0 Posted December 31, 2003 meh, we let this get to the second page anywho, ive been spending alot of time in the Su27 last few days and I enver realised just how easy its radar is compared to the F15, i can get a solid contact most of the time and a solid lock a little less (due to violent turns or what not) compared to once in a blue moon with the F15
ale2999 0 Posted December 31, 2003 I concurr. when I first got the game I only used the f15 whereas my friend used the su 27. guess what? he shot me down every time, so I took the time to learn and the su 27 radar is much user friendly. but that plane can sure spins for thousands of meters lol....... acidcrash 0 Posted December 31, 2003 yes, i have a nasty habit of getting into a spin at low level and so i cant pull of the spin in time still, fun playing chicken with an F15 in the Su27 with a combined closure rate of almost 3000kmph just dont try to climb or turn when he fires at you... lol... not a chance in hell you will be able to turn sharp enough
