Resident evil style camera views

I was originaly going to ask Suma beforehand. but decided to ask you folks first.

I was wondering if it was possible to "move" during ingame camera sequences, or if there was a script I could put in my Camera SQS text file.

Would be interesting to make a scenario like something from Silent Hill games.

Get one of the scripting masters in here! biggrin_o.gif There must be some script that can do this. Would be k00l to play OFP from a different perspective! smile_o.gif

How will you aim?or see whats ahead of you.Im guessing that nobody but you and your team will have weapons.

Same way you would Aim in resident evil.

I'm not saying your attacking stuff at a distance, I'm saying your attacking creatues of some sort that need to come fairly close to you in order to put dammage on you.

besides the camera can follow a moving target, meaning it wont be a static Camera all the time.

Will be great for something like Skye Virus

Hmm, I think it should be possible, judging by Kegetys spectator script...I could be wrong, but I can't see why that wouldn't work while you're still alive...

Afaik. there is no way to keep control on the player if the camera is somewhere else, so it propably isnt possible...

Well if you heard it from Kegetys, ya heard it from everybody..

Suppose I can wait for Suma to reply (if he does) probably will... BIS is in contact with the community alot, which is great I think.

Anyway yea LoneSoldier I am But I don't wanna talk about it.

I don't know the answer. All i can say is that i've never seen it happen. I hope you figure out a way to do it.

Could it be done by giving the AI commands, via a dialog? Something like an on-screen Joypad.

But clumsy, would not even begin to describe it  rock.gif

Edit: Just in case. What I mean is, it is a solution. But just a clumsy solution.

I agree with wilson on the dialog idea, however trying to make it so that it dosent look clumsy will be difficult but while you have the dialog there it could be used as much more, say a health bar like in resi?

Would custom key control work if its on a camara scene?

maybe just "rewire" it, not sure how the custom key bit works tho?
