Major Gripe 0 Posted August 7, 2003 'Hey it thinks what you did is great son keep up the good work ive used alot of MP5s well in Force Recon and all i think is dumb about the Mp5s that i see in games is well none of them have the right firing sounds get those right and youll be fine. Â methinks this is in the wrong topic! Ontopic this a great addon but it could do with some custom pilots, I've been using Brattys Corsair pilots but it would be better to have period airmen coded in. reconmercs 0 Posted August 7, 2003 this is a GREAT addon of a GREAAAT fighter. The one thing wrong I can tell is that there is no ww2 pilot to go with it. They prob couldn've used the pilot model from the F4U and also it doesn't engage ground troops (the corsair doesnt either ) this is VERY important for a ww2 fighter plane addon..those are my only two..it handles really well Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Yoshiro 0 Posted August 7, 2003 Well with all these nice aircraft now, and Bratty's carrier, we need some ships with AA, I took the falklands carrier and added M-2's to the deck to simulate it so far for myself. But it's just not the same Now that we have the cool planes, we wanna shot em down! LOL. And is it possible to have a flakgun where you could set the shells to explode at a set hight at low yeild? BraTTy 0 Posted August 7, 2003 I have some progress with the Kaga, I recently made a whole new deck for it and am working on the geometry already too. But it gets better than that, AIA has 3 carriers that are near completion and I have offered help to finish those and they are very nice Trenchfeet is my friend and I will also help him with what he needs, so peeps don't worry if you find any bugs ,I am sure any will be fixed P51 is looking nice , any word on the German plane? Trenchfeet 0 Posted August 8, 2003 Features of the P-51D 1 Empty gun cartridge - works when firing guns 2 Gun smoke - works when firing guns 3 6 Rockets (Unguided) 4 2 Bombs (Unguided) 5 2 Fuel Tanks Can be Jettisoned anytime. When jettisoned, fuel is set to 0.5 (half) Auto Drop when fuel level reaches 0.5 tanks are dropped automatically 6 WEP (WAR EMERGENCY POWER) Can be used unlimited number of times, if you use it, it gives a boost for a short time or to a speed of 400, however it uses a lot more fuel so it will reduce you’re fuel by -0.05. If you use it above 400 it can be “dangerous†it will still give you the short boost but if you reach a speed of 550 you will get the message overstress, and speed to fast you will also hear creaking and stress. If you remain above 550 for 10 seconds you will die because you’re wings have been ripped off or so. 7 Canopy can be opened at any speed below 230 it will close automatically at 231 (if you use the boost sometimes this is too quick for the script to handle) at a speed of 50 you will hear wind until the canopy is closed ( the wind sound is 9 sec’s long so the timing can be out sometimes) 8 Gear folds up down and you get green or dark red indicator lights 9 Add smoke script by typing this exec “\aia_p51em\startsmoke.sqs†It will make the fuel and hydrol lights work (forgot to add in the readme ) this is only a few as i didn't have enough time to list the rest but i will soon ps: re the other 109 i think we all will be in for a surprise soon with a m.^ r.l%a@e Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

madmedic 0 Posted August 11, 2003 Great addon....one problem. Doesnt take off from runway properly with AI pilot. Just about the time the rear wheel lifts off the ground,...it tries to take off, then makes a slight veer to the left, and takes some damage....then it eventually gets off the ground. If you activate the smoke script...you will see it start smoking when it takes the damage on takeoff...then, it will continue smoking Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Also sign up/register incase i need to contact you. I will put on hold the other 3 planes and put priority on the mustang's. There will be a short bug list of comments at the forum that i have found if i've missed any please add them. I'll try and fix the most important. Wonder 0 Posted August 13, 2003 Great addon! Just as good as the F4U! Only one thing all of you maybe noticed: The pilot is sitting too high and too far to the right, so the gunsight is to the left and low. Some minor adjustment to the pilot's proxy and the gunsight should be centered to that white dot. Another thing I noticed when engaged in a dogfight: The propeller blades make it damn hard to see what i'm shooting at. I don't get this problem with the Corsair.
