denoir 0 Posted July 22, 2003 I can recommend the movie "The Right Stuff" about the Mercury space program. They have a lot of footage of spectacular failures of early Redstone booster prototypes. And there were not just a few failures - I think that they in the movie show footage from at least 20 more or less spectacular launch failures.
FSPilot 0 Posted July 22, 2003 If I remember right the V2 rocket had to be filled before it was launched, making it very suceptible to air attack because the whole place could easilly go up. For that part, solid rocket fuel is no better. Remember Challenger? I'd venture to say that most rocket fuel is volatile.

USSoldier11B 0 Posted July 22, 2003 Hmm, I don't know much about ICBM's. I'm really anti-WMD so I don't like to think about them.
