I think

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this setbehaviour "STEALTH" should do the trick.

You can use the search button to find some topics about this.

Otherwise, just do object xxxxx setdammage 1

(xxxxx being the object number)

If it's an M2 machinegun I don't think it'll ever turn off.

Harnu thought you meant a streetlight, thats how you turn off a streetlight,..

Damn, my ambush won't work sad_o.gif

I needed to put MG between two buildings, so the players can't see it, but this fuckin' light betray gun's position sad_o.gif

You could always just take a few MG'ers instead of using stationary M2's.

Maybe try an addon one. There is one in Inquisitors' High Detail Weapon Pack

You can try<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">gunner your_M2 action ["STR_ACTION_LIGHTOFF", your_M2]

I've used this several times in an ambush-like mission.

I saw this fix at OFPEC. A little different than Coldshine's reply but I think that it is along the same idea. As I remember, it allowed the light to flicker a little. I need to try Coldshine's version to see if it is any better.

Check out this thread.
