Right, I've just had a go of it...

Firstly, I found it too easy. wink_o.gif  (Maybe cause I so good...) biggrin_o.gif

I managed to get all the pieces get back and radio for help without firing a single shot and on my own also... Maybe it's harder in mp for some reason I dont know.

The ending is quite interesting and makes you want to know what going to happen... wow_o.gif   I think it has a great atmosohere and can get quite scary when you can only see a few meters ahead and your driving like a mainiac! tounge_o.gif All I will say is make it harder somehow... Nice mission though!

Hehe I tried it too, I managed to get all the radio parts also but on my way back to the tower and killed a whole bunch of zombies.Ironically,I failed to hit the brakes in time and my jeep went careening into the water and I was killed. Life's a bitch sometimes :P

Its a really cool mission, but you should try to make a smaller mission area, or modifie the Spawn scripts so that the Zombies only apear near the cities. Think that would reduse the Lag effect.

For the next mission, DON`T add cars, they ruin the scaryness because your not so vurnable as on foot.

You should limit the mission area to a big town, so you have to walk on foot, and hide in buildings when your out of ammo.

I like the way the Zombies attack, that´s the coolest part of the mission.

You could also Take the zabrak aliens for the same purpus, so they would also use such an attack. (like in "Signs" if you saw that movie)

Or combine them so the zabrak Infected the Humans with something for example.

And maybe give the player a better civillian clothings ...that pullover of man1 looks so shitty  wink_o.gif

You should also take the BAS groundfog that will hopfully comeout soon (ever)

That would add some nice ambients.

PS: its more fun in SP, "less" lag (think)

My copy of the mission doesn't have a respawn.sqs and i get an error whenever anyone dies. How can I fix this? Also, I tried to play it in signle player and the guy with the shotgun shot me while i was trying to get back to the radio tower because I killed the zombies which the game still thinks are civilians. Anyone know of a way I can change that?

Yeah that sux, i implanted the Zombies into some of my missions, and i always have to fight them on my own.

Would be cooler if i could have a 4men team for cover sad_o.gif

PS: Never give a civillian a weapon, see what happens biggrin_o.gif

Yeah, I was modifying it to make so you play as soldiers and you have to look for distress signals being sent from the radio. Unfortuneately, when playing singleplayer, you have to kill your partners very early on sad_o.gif . It's pretty cool cause you go to check out the signals and there are all these bodies everywhere. Anyone know how to make a unit join your team when you get close to them?

Hmm you must of downloaded the erlyer one,Try downloading it again since iv updated it and got rid of the respawn sqs.Witch was orginaly came from doolittles revive respawn witch i took out at the last moment due to proplems and forgot to take out some triggers.So the respawn .sqs is nothing to worry about.

Allso nice idea ComunistAnarchy1986 im supprise i dident think of it.

Hmm why not make Soldier Zombies?

They would be assigned to a side?

You could take the Westcaptivesoldier so you could simulate that your own men want to kill you.

Or the other way round of corse

Thanks D. Murphy, it works now.

Right now I'm creting new units with the civilian models and properties except they're on the resistence side. Then I'm going to put them into the map instead of the regular civilians.

How's that sound to you all? When I'm done, if you want, I can try to upload it somewhere and you can try to use them in your own missions.

Anyway, if you do, you wouldn't have to give me credit for it, I'm not actually coding anything new smile_o.gif

I think this mission has loads of atmosphere, and its very well done. The choice of island complements it well.

But I found it too very easy to complete. Basicly I used the jeep and ran over the zombies, and kept to a minimum the amount of time I spent running about. I think you should restrict the use of vehicles more by lowering the amount of fuel in the tanks. A motor bike at the start would be fun too.

More tasks are required in general apart from recovering the radio parts.....

Perhaps add a rogue group of SF soldiers (from a secret organisation sent to kill civillians who have survived , their mission to destroy anyone who witness the outbreak) would add more of a challenge.

I would suggest also you add some kind sound or creepy music when the zombies are close by, you may not see them but adding music when they are close at the right moment would add to the horror and anticipation of being eaten alive!

I was kind of disapointed there was no cut scene at the end, even if it was only to show a helicopter landing and taking you away to safety.

It would be nice if you could make a SKYE VIRUS campaign. So it would be possible to play as different characters/people and the different scenarios they would experience on the island. Maybe as the local police force trying to protect and evacuate everyone to the sea port or airfields. Or Special Forces Teams sent in to search for survivors and carry out some devious task to prevent the spread of the virus. Im curious to know more about the virus and how and where it was developed and who made it, stuff like that.....

Of course these are not original ideas by any means but I think it would work well in this mission.

Yeah imagine its all foggy around you, you notice the lag when the zombie script kicks in, and "SHIT" fuels out. you wait a couple of second it the car, then you discide to go farther on foot.

You take a "short cut" through the woods.

You hear crows all around you, alerting you that something is moving around your position.

you start to walk faster.

And like out of nowhere a zombie apears infront of you, its alone, you have 5 bullets left in your mag. *BAM* 4.

Whats that?! You hear a growling behind you. SUDDENLY 10 zombies apear out of hte mist, closing in on you. *BAM BAM BAM BAM CLICK*

You see the lights of a town. That will be your rescue!

As you come near, you look back and see that the 6 zombies are still closing in on you!

But whats that!? Lag apears and another scripts kicks in.

Wow some nice ideas guys,Thnx for the positive feedback. I shall see what i can do to implement these ideas,but i am very busy at the moment but i shall most properly get some free time soon as my summer holidays are all most here biggrin_o.gif at last!

Hey again all,

I have a request for any island creators.Im asking for your kindness in possible creating a Small/medium island completely covered in a city,Maybe it could have diffrent areas? like resistanchal area,industrieal area,ect... I would be very greatfull if any one would help me in constructing a island like that ann (if you allready havent guessed) will use it in the next skye virus mission.

Then it wouldn't be called "Skye Virus" if you changed the island... wink_o.gif

Making a map like that would probably lagg with all the buildings. If you did want a semi-decent one you would need lots of new buildings made, cause the same one repeating 100x doesn't look to realistic.
