kegetys 2 Posted June 11, 2003 Keg one other bug, Its displaying my lan ip, and not my internet one. It displays whatever windows (or actually the powersocket component or whatever) tells it... If you have multiple ip addresses then I dunno which one it displays (propably the first one it finds), but if you are behind a NAT its quite obvious that it displays only the "NAT address" since theres no possible way for it to know the external ip address. SFG 1 Posted June 11, 2003 Can you make it display all of them except the first?
kegetys 2 Posted June 11, 2003 Can you make it display all of them except the first? Possibly, but it would be alot of work (why leave the first out anyway?), propably not worth the time. Just use ipconfig/winipcfg instead.

benu 1 Posted June 11, 2003 I just tried to add the ip of the new SES server (which seems not to be online yet) and whenever i go to "MP:Server List" then the Launcher crashes. After i delete the server entry it works again. Maybe adding non-existent (or even non-reachable?) servers causes the Server-List to crash?!?
kegetys 2 Posted June 11, 2003 Updated again ;) To version 2.15, this version has a new automatic server watcher, which queries a server every 15 seconds and plays a sound notification if a new game is about to start in the server (ie. the gamestate changes from "game in progress" to "missions" for example). It also plays a sound when monitoring an empty server and someone joins there. The sounds are customizable from the options menu, as is a few other options for the launcher. The monitor looks like this: The "lamp" in the bottom right is red if a game is in progress and flashes green if a game is just being set up. The more button enlarges the window to display also the current mission and a players list. The watcher is also useful when alt-tabing out of OFP when waiting for a new game, just run the watcher after the alt-tabbing, and you'll know when the new game starts and you should alt-tab back. kegetys 2 Posted June 11, 2003 Maybe adding non-existent (or even non-reachable?) servers causes the Server-List to crash?!? The delphi component which I use (udp something) seems to crash if a "stream send error" occurs, whatever that means or what causes it I dont know :P ... Querying the ses server seems to work fine for me though. Edit: ok, I traced the stupid bug, it was the udp usage example code from the _delphi manual_ which caused it. I should have just sticked to C instead of this delphi crap  anyway the 2.16 version available fixes it :P
joltan 0 Posted June 13, 2003 I just tried to add the ip of the new SES server (which seems not to be online yet) and whenever i go to "MP:Server List" then the Launcher crashes. After i delete the server entry it works again. It's up now and works fine with 2.16: The first release didn't work with the old server either, though... One request, Kegetys, could you make it so the watcher could be started right away (like with a command line option)?
iNeo 0 Posted June 15, 2003 Nice work, Keg. A bug is that if you launch or join an MP game, the checked mods aren't activated. Maybe something to fix for next version?
kegetys 2 Posted June 15, 2003 Nice work, Keg. A bug is that if you launch or join an MP game, the checked mods aren't activated. Umm... they work fine for me.. are you sure you checked them from the right place? (the server options) edit: actually the host button does not seem to do that. iNeo 0 Posted June 15, 2003 Umm... they work fine for me.. are you sure you checked them from the right place? (the server options) oops -edit 1- But still, if you host a game... Then they don't get activated. ( Or did I miss something again? ) -edit 2- edit: actually the host button does not seem to do that.
kegetys 2 Posted November 15, 2003 Bumping this old thread, version 2.17 of the launcher is available from my ofp site, it now supports the -nomap commandline parameter (enabled from options) and the host game button now launches with correct mods.
