Commando84 0 Posted May 15, 2003 i think they will wait for a while before they make a move there's a lot of other games to compete with but i hope they will show off some stuff soon because im getting more and more hyped for every week thinking about ofp
hellfish6 7 Posted May 16, 2003 I was briefly at E3 and I heard that a video was shown for Flashpoint 2, but I did not see it. At the CM booth, everything seemed to be about American Idol - big, big line to even get close to the booth. I didn't have the time. But I did get to see the new US Army Stryker ICV out front, as well as a rocket-launching robot. They were cool.
Maky 0 Posted May 16, 2003 It seems that "Gamestar", a german PC Magazine interviewed Marek Spanel a few hours ago in LA - here are the infos. Source. I try to translate Operation Flashpoint 2: Informations A playable version ofp OFP 2 wasn't shown on the E3. Instead of this fact, Marek Spanel talked to us about the following details of OFP 2: OFP 2 featuring 2 campaigns: in the 1st you will play an american GI who will fight first in Vietnam, later in Africa - campaign's primary goal will be the action. The theme of the 2nd campaign will be an invasion of Jugoslavia - campaign's playing goals here are more the tactics and roleplay elements....For the OFP-modding-scene BIS will release early enough tools so that them can rebuild scenarios in vietnam, africa and central europe. Only a "remastered" Graphic Engine will be used in OFP 2. here the original in German.

Harley-Davidsen 0 Posted May 16, 2003 So in Jugoslavia, a we going to play for UN?
PFC_Mike 2 Posted May 16, 2003 guys, open up malden and compare it to Nogova. The difference between OFP2 and OFP1 will be much more than that. I recall Marek making statements that they were going to be working on use of pixel-shaders and would improve water rendering. You can bet these guys have a few tricks up their sleeve. The most important part of an engine is the gaemplay. OFP1 had that almost completly setteled, aside from clipping and water. I'm sure they will dramatically improve that. BIS has other things to do as scrolling history books forward and backward to don't miss anything who really happened in history etc. I'm sure that BIS will find a good solution to improve the technical details of OFP 1 and Resistance....let's hope to see the first screenshots during this summer. hellfish6 7 Posted May 16, 2003 I think Yugoslavia was one of the more neutral countries during the Cold War - not quite free, but not quite behind the Iron Curtain. I know for a fact that there were Soviet warplans dealing with an invasion of Yugoslavia.
ralphwiggum 6 Posted May 16, 2003 wonder if Tito has naything related to Guba. anyways, in ofp.info interview, Marek stated that screenshots will be available in summer. so i guess they will focus on Xbox for now, and improve from it too.
jtec 0 Posted May 16, 2003 So all this waiting and looking at the E3 was not worth the wait at all? I havent seen a single piece of info that i havent read already and i thought BIS would release a little more to the general public that have stayed and played the game for over 2 years. I want a screen shot waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Just one screenshot that shows how great the game will be I hoping at the mo they are flying back to Czech Republic with their little demo or screenshots to upload onto their official site. If not im gonna cry and not play ofp for a hour
