The s.j.b. handgun project

Recommended Posts

Anyway, as I promised, I'm going to let you know a few more details about 'HANDGUN PACK ONE'.

The pack will contain 6 .pbo files, with a total of 15 different handguns (including all the variants).

Anyway, more detail about the guns that will feature:

ANACONDA MAGNUM - A powerful western style six-shooter with a high amount of recoil.

BERETTA 92F - Only in the silenced form for PACK ONE, but plans are to add a non-silenced version for PACK TWO

BERETTA 93R - Similar to the Beretta 92F, although with a burst fire function, higher magazine capacity, extended barrel, and a fore grip handle to help reduce recoil.

COLT 1911 - In 4 different styles (Brown grip, Black grip, Oriental/Chinese grip and a Gold version for all those budding Castor Troy wannabe's from Face/Off).

DESERT EAGLE - 3 versions (Normal grey, Gold and a Gold/Silver combination) to add a bit of style to gangland warfare  tounge.gif

USP - 5 variants of this Silver USP are included as previously mentioned (Normal version with and without a LAM, a Silenced version with and without a LAM as well as a MATCH version). Plans for PACK TWO include to add a darker colour tone as well.

The pack is undergoing final BETA Phase now with only a few kinks so to speak to iron out, and all should be ready for a Friday release as planned.

Firstly, I think Castor Troy used a custom SVI Infinity (Planned for Pack Two/Three biggrin.gif ).

Secondly, all three Desert Eagles are .50 caliber.

Thirdly, release is imminent, I have just edited the site page to include a download link, and updated pictures etc, and I am so to upload it, as well as the files.

The Pack will come in two formats, .CAB and .ZIP (I scrapped the .RAR Format as the filesize was no different to that of the .ZIP).

Both files will have identicle content, only the file format (and the compression rate they provide) will be different.

Expect another post with a download link soon after I upload.

Version one, of PACK ONE is finally completed and uploaded.

Links to the addon pack can be found at the SJB Handgun Project Page.

Also, at the bottom of that page you can find links to the readme.txt and a file containing the weapon class names (both of which are included in the zip/cab).

Please post any feedback, questions or other comments you have on this thread.

Thanks.

Sadly no, the USP's LAM does NOT function. This is due to weapons not supporting lights. With scripting I would imagine it would possible, but not perfect. I am not a scripter, so I am not about to undertake this task.

Sweet, very nice handguns! Try to get some help from someone who knows scripting, since working lights would be awesome. Very nice work i love them. Cant wait for no.2

A li'l bug on the Anaconda, the muzzleflash bug crazy.gif

Also rip some sounds of RS, or try to match the sounds evenly. I barely heard the Beretta93r whilst the USP gave me ear pains. Great work Jackal!

93R also has the Muzzleflash bug confused.gif It also looks like the gold version of the 1911 has no mag in it. On the model not the config.

THE muzzle flash bug? (with the constant muzzle flash) or the shadow muzzle flash bug where the muzzle flash's shadow is constant?

I don't see why that is the case, as all of the Colt 1911's are the same indentical model, just with different textures.

EDIT: I just checked this out, and I see what you mean. I'll sort that out in preparation for PACK TWO biggrin.gif

The muzzleflash bug as in the shadow lod bug i guess. Also that no mag thing looks just like it's a hollow point were the mag is spos'ed to be. And how about some more buffed versions of the 1911? Like a hardballer or something like it. A russian gun would be nice to, a KGB pistol or something.

Which version of OFP are you running the_unknown_one and on which weapons do you encounter the bug?

All weapons require at least version 1.75.

If you let me know what version of OFP you're running, I might be able to suggest a solution to your problem.

COOL HAND GUN PACK VERY AWESOME

good idea on putting the civilian dressed resistance

were most of those guns made in the u.s.??and used in the u.s.??

i was just thinking if they were, it wouldve been better to put them in the west side as a civilian dressed west unit

exactly the same way u did it but on the west side they could be civilian dressed military ops or wateva

VERY GOOD HANDGUN PACK !!!!!!!!

I have a few suggestions:

Try to position the weapons better. The Colt M1911's looked very wierd, with the finger clipping through the trigger guard. The USP also was too low

Brighten up the normal Desert Eagle a bit, you can't see any detail on it. Also make it a bit bigger.

I'll take all suggestions under advisement.

To prevent the fingers from clipping through the trigger guard, means moving it so the grip clips through the fingers....its one or the other so I went for the 'lesser of two evils'

Actually It's quite hard to notice it when the finger clips throught the grip, especially in first person view.

I like the anims for the slide going back, but is it possible to have the slide stay back when you run out of ammo? (like in RL) this would be really cool. btw i expericence the muzzle flash bug with FlipeR's m4, (hehe soz i did mention offtopic) it mentoins it in teh readme but does not go into detail about how to fix it. Im not really worried, i just wqanted to know just oin case.

Try running the game "normally" without Hardware T&L on...it should work fine then.

I know what you mean, but have no idea how it could be implemented. The current "animation" is very simple, but detecting when the pistol has no ammo in the current mag, would be very complex, and require scripting I'd imagine. If anyone else has a suggestion about how this could be done, let me know either here, or by PM.
