furia 10 Posted May 9, 2003 I love planes and choppers but islands are too smalls neither game engine allows for realistic aerodinamics required for such speeds. Then, eject just in time, so my body is flying at that velocity, and smacks right into a mountain side. Of course, then, we need a new damage system, with "Goo" as a possible character state. Spy17 1 Posted May 10, 2003 I think BIS should make the game physics as close to the real world physics as possible. In reality it is possible to fly that fast. So the game engine should be able to handle it too. Another question is if we need these fast planes in the game. In Vietnam planes like the F4 or Mig21 played an important role (just an example) and like they could go over mach 1 it should be added -just for realism! I missed these planes in OFP ever since. Even if you do not fly them. Ain't it nice as a grunt to know that there exists a fast fighter plane that could pop up and blow this nasty Hind from the sky! In reality it is possible to fly that fast.<span id='postcolor'> this is still a game and not the matrix, m8 i dont think it makes any sence to have a plane that flies mach 2... just make it fly 900 maximum, if you ask me... ofp isnt suited for air-air combat anyways, so rather make a small bomber/ cas plane if you have to make a plane...
