Guest Posted April 27, 2003 I vote for Benevolent Dictatorship! Absolutely the best political system possible without out a doubt. You don't have a damm say in anything, but it doesn't matter because all decisions are good for you. And it's not open to corruption or the pursuit of power, because the power is absolute, and it benevolent....as the name would imply. Unfortunately examples of this are very rare indeed....they tend to get corrupted....so what's new
LowLevelFunctionary 0 Posted April 27, 2003 I voted B
marc0523 0 Posted April 27, 2003 D I feel more and more embarrassed about being english as time goes on (the iraqi thing didn't help that much and the sun / news of the world are other reasons) that i feel i should do something to get my country back into a state of mind where we are not all destroying ourselves, sadly that will not happen for some time. I voted D because im lazy and i cant be bothered to in-force my opinions on people who don't want them, i believe what i believe and u believe what u believe, lets talk about it but not make war over it. P.S. I also work for a massive company where i am nothing but a drone, as i write this i can see the sun go down from the windows no where near me as the strip lighting and the air-conditioning in this open plan office give me a migraine. Jinef 2 Posted April 27, 2003 Poor you, i spend my day walking around chatting, going into the hangars and annoying the engineers (hide their stuff and watch them get all rowdy with each other! and then i go and so some paperwork, while typing a few words on the forum etc. But then we also have to have lectures and train almost every other day, so i'm kept busy. Epita 0 Posted April 27, 2003 The lovely broadband everywhere, yeah right (at the refrain of some other words) I vote communist, because I know (because ive been to the places) that it CAN work. Just only if everyone else isnt setting out to stop them. Ohh, residing in England

Jinef 2 Posted April 27, 2003 Look at that lovely place called Vietnam, nice place for your holidays. And it's communist, but i don't think that the Americans are all that welcome though so don't take my advice and go there on your hols if your American. http://www.vietnamtourism.com/e_pages/e_index.htm It looks really nice, i wouldn't mind going there, instead of somewhere where you're just going to meet English people, like Spain. Epita 0 Posted April 27, 2003 I went to Vietnam a few years ago (2 i think). Its a really nice place and the views are amazing from the mountins in the north... *dreams for a while*. Americans are welcome but they tend to only be the younger ppl who wernt around during the war/too young. As for communism, the currency is stable, the GDP is rising. The people are happy and things are going OK. And all the chicks in Vietnam are fit! (from me too)
Jinef 2 Posted April 27, 2003 From the poll at the moment 14 voted no to marxism or revolution Coming in a close second is FUBAR We have 5 commies and hippies 4 Fascists 2 extreme marxists (minority) 4 socialists who would like more equal society We can see that the majority of people are not Marxists so you better go out and find some marxists to vote on here otherwise it might appear your hypothesis could be proved wrong (don't feel bad, every hyposthesis i ever made in Chemistry went tits up and things went green! I agree, America and some other countries were (and still is bent on) destroying any communist government, even if it means the loss of 100k soldiers. I think it could work in many countries but not all.
Necromancer- 0 Posted April 27, 2003 I voted "none" or "Null" or stuff. I'm a liberal and that's where I stand for. In this country where I live in (The Netherlands), the people are bloody lazy and complain/strike about silly things like a 3% loan increase. I say... WTF is 3% gonna increase your spending for? The country's economy is SMASHED, the company you work at makes a negative profit and WTF DO YOU DO? You f*cking strike which results in loss of company's money which then results again in discharging more employee's. The taxes are ridiculous, people dont wanna work harder, because for every penny you deserve, you pay relatively more tax. No, equal the taxes for every level where the people will be motivated to work harder. FFS we're not living in Mogadishu.

Jinef 2 Posted April 28, 2003 Hmm i agree, dodgy usage of the term liberal. I keep thinking Eurpe is far better that the UK, but i suppose the grass is always greener on the other side.

The lesser evil is obviously Norway We have a social democracy, good standard of living, nice and clean environment, and are not a member of the EU. (which accidentaly makes us independent in contrast to the swedes that gave it up ) Guess what I voted for
Jinef 2 Posted April 28, 2003 No idea. But anyways, it is 3:47 in the morning in the UK, meaning it is 4:47 in Norway. What the hell are you doing awake? I have reasons - not very good ones i admit but reasons anyhow!
Jinef runs!
And grabs some lovely coffee, ahhh caffeine. Many, many items need dealing with in the UK. Our industry has been in decilne for so long now. Mainly because of the pro-euro governments we have had over the last 40 years! Prices are high in the UK because of improts from Europe and the decline of our industry. Our country need not be in the state it is. Oh and in response to your question, ones liking of a country should not revolve around common issues such as broadband If you feel that you are proud of where you come from, then that is enough reason to like it and defend it
//relic// 0 Posted April 28, 2003 I vote for h, I want a completely free market economy and society. Taxpayer funded income-redistribution social projects be damned, they're yet to benefit me but even so that's where 60% of the ~45% of my income that's paid in tax goes. As I see it, the only people who would want and benefit from a socialist society are those who would be seeing some income redistributed their way, you damn freeloading hippies Anyhow, in the real world we see that the socialist/communist politico-economic model fails because it sucks ass at distributing resources and ensuring efficiency because of the lack of incentive to better one's self, so why the poll in the first place? To determine who's the most naive, idealistic and determined to ruin the economy further?
