Jahve, I think you'll like it if you go in already knowing some of the bad aspects, and don't expect it to be very realistic and just watch it as an action movie.

I liked it. Yeah, it was a bit hokey at times, but it looked really good. It was kind of like a modern-era Thin Red Line, I thought. Same kind of cinematics at times. But... if you didn't like TRL, I'd avoid it. It's one of those war movies that isn't quite everyone's cup of tea.

But I'd give it a 3.5/5.

Rest assured, once Bibmi comes out with his African militia pack, I'll probably create a mission similar to (or at least inspired by) this, using BAS Delta and Ia Trang island.

I was planning to do it anyways...

I was annoyed about how long the blackhawks stayed in the air in BHD and about how the pilots didn't seem to do much in the way of preparing for a crash.

Also the people must have said we have a bhd about 19 times!

He's a marxist like a significant number on this board.<span id='postcolor'>

LOL.

You're hilarious. Invoking a term like 'marxist' to explain away why people think that certain choices by the current us administration are utter shite.

Is your last name McCarthy?

Am I mistaken in thinking that social democrats and socialists adhere to tenets of marxism? It's a simple question.  yes/no.  Heck, he is advertising socialism in his sig. Those pages all seem to be commenting on capitalism in general. It would seem logical to me for there to be a tendency to be biased against the prime example of capitalism.

I like the left wing ideas of the Socialist party, i'm not anti American because of it though. I haven't voted for the socialist party and i probably won't. My problem with the Americans at the moment, as Warin correctly said, is the house of the white and their slightly skewed values and ideology.

I'm not a Marxist. I have made paradoxical points about my political postion, evidently this has caused confusion which i am not to rectify mainly because at the moment i think all the parties and positions are a bit screwed up and i have no preference. E.g. Labour is half divided, some want to basically get in little boats and push Britain towards the US and other want to unite Europe in an all strong counter US movement, which is not going to happen soon as Europe is divided over lot's of issues and they all want different things.

I am not advertising socialism in itself, just proposing a different point of view. The UK socialists are pussy cats, and mainly offer satirical comments on the world situation, unlike the thousands of Scandinavians with little stars on their hats and pictures of Che Guevara, which is just not seen in the UK much (well not in Wales anyway).

I doubt there are very few true Marxists on this thread, who are not happy with their property and want to launch a reveloution, but let's have a count anyway (see offtopic thread)

I will remove the socialist party link as it clearly offends you, but do take the time to read the transcript of Ernst Brecht being interviewd by the HUAC, funny as hell how he ran rings around them.

hmm.. interesting.

my understanding of marxism is that it encompasses the whole breadth of left wing economics from just left of center (social democrats?) to the far left communists. Basically, the proportions of marxism and capitalism change significantly as you move along the left wing. the just-left-of-centers are mixing a small portion of marxism in with capitalist principle and the farther left you go, marxist principles starts overtaking capitalist principles. They all share some bit of marxist principle. Is this how you understand it? I'm just a bit puzzled why some think I'm painting with a broad brush when it's a pretty broad term we're talking about.

But it's not a broad term, if you mix in some principles of marxism with capitalism you are not capitalist or marxist.

You can have some variation but not much, pure capitalism is almost what GWB has got, just without all the backhanders and goverment funds pouring into civil companies.

Pure capitalism is where everything is separate and can be ran without almost no goverment intervention.
