Ya know, the thing I love about the Falklands war MOD website was the great way that it ALWAYS SHOWS ITS UPDATES IN THE SAME THREAD WITHOUT MAKING (EDIT: the word pointless was in here but it has been removed through the request and pathetic-ness of lukemax) NEW THREADS.

I enjoy Lukemax enthusiasm and imagination.

A quality you can't add to a already modmaker.

I was considering a horse still.Could make one out of soldier class and make new animations,but then you wouldn't be able to ride it

Would have to be a vehicle,with some animations when its sitting and would have to move it ocassionally

I really,really wish there'd be power suits,Y-racks,flamers,missiles,mortars and everything,but from the looks of it it'll be based on the lame movie,hurray  

To code the suits would be harder than the bugs I think.

Pod drops from orbit,jumpjets,multiple weapons,HE's with timers programmable in flight,nukes,flamers,multiple HUDs...

One ambitious mod,should they aim for this,I'll be rooting for it,if it's the movie,please say so now so I can lose all interest.

In an age of space travel you'd have grunts with .50 rifles and kevlar armor? (<= why the movie was lame)

If you're gonna bother making powersuits make them for everyone,there are no special units,only crack MI like the Roughnecks.

Grunt suit (normal),Officer suit (more comms and faster) and a Scout suit (Faster than the grunt suit)

If you're making a Starship Troopers mod,you must be a fan of it,and then you should respect it and not rape it like the movie did.

I'm just giving my opinion,I'm not making him do anything.

Starship Troopers IS the book,the movie was a bad adaptation and i wouldn't like to see this mod with potential go down the same dark alley.

As all fans of Starship Troopers will tell you(which these mod makers per definition are) the book is way better.

And my point about 'if you're gonna bother making powersuits make them for all the units' still stands.

I don't see how I'm bashing the work here,I only bashed the movie.

I hope you guys get it animated It looks cool, i cant say i have read the book but i did enjoy the movie (well ive seen worse). I think projectile weapons and the equipment in the Starship Troopers movie is more believeable even in a futuristic setting.

Maybe you'd like him to include transporters and cloaked ships and phasers too?

What made ST (and other movies liek Aliens) such a great movie was how the gear wasn't so high tech as to be ridicuolous. No shiny white spaceships or laser blasters.

Ack... I'm afraid I have to side with Frisbee. I heard so many good things about the movie until I saw it. Definitely lame and far far far from believable... to me it just seemed like a very wierd movie. Realistic definitely wasn't the term that came to mind watching it. To me it wasn't even comparable to the Aliens series of movies. Those were well made, had good acting, and good stories.

Anyhoo...just my opinion. But if Luke likes the movie more then the ST book then he should do whatever makes him happy. If he hasn't read the book, then he might become inspired to base if off of the book if he did... well maybe.
