I noticed the nice new tropical vegetation, but one look at the ch53 and the Wasp class LHD and it seems like a lot of detail is missing.  For instance, Scorpio's CH53 looks better, as do the addon ships like the LSD Ashland that was released.  Also, I noticed the engine seems to be the same as the current OFP engine on the VBS1 site.  For example, guns on only one side of the helos, no machine guns in the tank commander's position, basic HMMVW without armament, it doesn't look like anything is much different than what is in the current game.  Lets hope those are old shots!<span id='postcolor'> They look a lot better than the original OFP graphics. Hi-res textures, it looks like. Where are those tanks without the MGs on top? And the Hummer? I missed those.

FallenPaladin 0 Posted February 4, 2003 Whoa, look at the grass!!! It`s a VBS1 screenie, but imagine they use the same technique in IL Â http://www.virtualbattlefieldsystems.com/core.html Man, it really hurts only being able to see that stuff and not being able to test it

PiNs_Da_Smoka 0 Posted February 4, 2003 I don't get it... What exactly am i looking at here? Is that the model falling apart? I'm not trying to say anything, i just literally don't understand what is in that pic. *cleans off monitor* P.S. Finishing the textures on a model before posting a screenie never hurts. PiNs_Da_Smoka 0 Posted February 4, 2003 Hmm.....is it the same thing as in screenie 5? I look at hte back, and that wierd wing-like thing looks the same, but then....bah. Forget it, i'm too tired to be trying to figure what i'm seeing. I'll wait till tomorrow.
theavonlady 2 Posted February 4, 2003 The Stallion's tail is tilted to the left (when looking from the back) and there's a supporting strut under the rear rotor wing. BIS' model seems to have some sort of auxiliary motor for the rotor that's larger than anything I've seen in pics.

Pic 5 also shows the main rotor blades stowed.
PiNs_Da_Smoka 0 Posted February 4, 2003 Now, thats exactly what i thought. It is on the other side. Christ, if not an explanation of when IL will come out, could you at least tell me wtf that model is!?

hellfish6 7 Posted February 4, 2003 Now I'm really interested to see what I presume are the Indonesian/Militia forces. Indonesia doesn't have much of an armored force (AMX-13s, PT-76s, BTR-40s and some Saladin armored cars, if I remember correctly. Actually, here is a Link to recent Indonesian arms purchases. It looks like there could be some fun jungle battles with this stuff. Another interesting link.
