HK (HunterKiller) 0 Posted January 19, 2003 Sorry if this isn't in the right place, but it is part of my scope model. I was wondering how i could set up a rifle scope to act like a set of nightvision goggles, and i have no idea how to go about it, so if you know a detailed (for a nOOb) explanation would be nice
der bastler 0 Posted January 19, 2003 That's not possible. NV Goggles are hard-wired to OFP (i.e. nv-function internally coded), no chance unless you modify OFP's core engine code... (Got the same question while creating my M42a and this seems to be the answer. Please, tell me I'm wrong!
HK (HunterKiller) 0 Posted January 24, 2003 Thanks der bastler (although not the answer i wanted unfortunately) ah well maybe ofp2 IL or whatever. I can live without it for the time being i suppose *Cries*.
Liquid_Silence 0 Posted January 24, 2003 Um...someone did red optics for a weapon (I think they were red anyway...) look for the terminator addon...I haven't used it myself, but what you wanna do might be possible...
der bastler 0 Posted January 24, 2003 Well, I think he simply used a red transparent texture without any nv-effect... Suma, please enlighten us!
HK (HunterKiller) 0 Posted January 24, 2003 Yeah i remember that addon, but i think der bastler is correct in that he used a red translucent colour over a simple scope picture, BUT i might be wrong, i never tried that addon very much, and i certianly never tried using it at night.. USMC Sniper 0 Posted January 27, 2003 You all know how the BIS XMS has that dot that is visible at night? Acecube explained how to do that in his thread about how to make things like that visible at night. Maybe you can make a transparent texture that is visible at night for NV?
