Mi-2 "hoplite"

Recommended Posts

I would like to add to that, that the best color for pilots is brown. Its the most color that will be gentel on your eyes and your mind. Thats why they use the brown color in all boeng planes now. Airbuses uses a grey/blueish color for their panels.

cheers

Soothing? only if the plane has an autopilot, otherwise I want the pilot annoyed, slightly tense and on the edge of his seat for the whole trip,

You know, like his CREWCHIEF biggrin.gif

Airwolf, I never said you are the leader, I only mentioned you are Mi2 modeler. From the other hand your presence on LWP Mod forum indicates you are in this Mod (well, even LWPTEAM group moderator). But nevermind, good you were here yesterday and could say about your model by your own lips/fingers.

Becouse of your usual absence on our Polish OFP "cell" may I ask you is Mi2 your only "baby"? I know about this funny battle heli Airwolf, but when I see many hawk`s ideas and models I am curious do you have something more than mentioned machines? And from else-where I know these Mi2 fotos are not first-fresh, any other pics?

Well... these shots were taken yesterday, just before I've posted them here, so they are fresh...

And, no, I don't have anything else to show now (it doesn't mean that I'm not working on something else wink.gif, I also still adding some details to Mi-2 (for example panel was added recently) and Airwolf when I've time for that and it's not much time sad.gif

I've wanted this addon for a long time now too, as I want to use it as a light transport helo for the Russians since they have nothing like that at present.

We should keep bumping this thread to show AirwolfPL how much interest there is in his Mi-2.

Unfortunately, I think the question to be asked is not how much interest WE have, rather how much does HE have?

airwolfPL as far as I'm concerned, you could send me it RIGHT NOW, I would consider it finished even if you do not, it looks that good.

I think the general community would like to see this addon. Munger is right the Soviets lack a light heli.

I think it is the MIL corporation actually who makes them blue... there was a reason for them to do that but I can't remember now<span id='postcolor'>

Reason is quite simple, If you know the painting techniques...

While painting metal object (as well as many others), you make several layers of painting, with bottom layer specialised to protect metal from corosion, and the outside layer to give object specified color and surface...

Russians, to keep the costs low, used only the indispensable part of painting, the layer wich kept metal uncoroding... and... there was almoust only one type of anty-corosive paint in whole russia... this blue one :]
