Ludovico Technique 0 Posted January 11, 2003 Howdy ya'll. I'm looking to download a few choice winter addons so I can set up some decent winter missions. Are there any mods that you folks would recommend for v1.9? I'm looking basically for decent sets of winter east/west infantry and the standard ground and air vehicles. Thanks in advance
-CCCP-Stalker 0 Posted January 11, 2003 Try D/ling Winter Nogujev
Ludovico Technique 0 Posted January 11, 2003 Does it come with units or anything? I had a looksee at it but at 30+ meg I figure it's too much to download for just a map. I've found Winter variants of the other islands though. They are more managable at 10 megs ish.
KeyCat 131 Posted January 11, 2003 Kegety's Winter Nogujev comes with winter units. Other nice touches are snow and northen lights Highly recommended as everything else he has done! /Christer (a.k.a KeyCat)

Definitely worth the download. BTW: You need Kegetys Russian Weapons Pack to use some of the included units.

Ludovico Technique 0 Posted January 12, 2003 Well after scrapping it out with Gozilla I managed to get the beefy Nogojev download. It rocks. Definitely very cool. However (isn't there always a however) I can't find many winter helicopters. I've got a winter Apache that looks like a zebra (in a good way) but that's about it. Are there any winter variant Russian helos?

Are there any winter variant Russian helos?<span id='postcolor'> There's a winter camo UH60 (look at ofp.info), but I guess in reality winter camo isn't used for military aircraft/choppers - when on the ground they will be stationed in a hangar anyways, and when in the air, well - the sky's blue in winter as in summer... pzvg 0 Posted January 12, 2003 Still the point is even the Soviets, <who were absolute freaks on the subject of winter camo> rarely painted helos in winter camo, I've seen only a handful of winter camo helicopters in my life, 85% of which was spent on military bases loaded with helicopters. Try British or Norwegian, those two nations like to paint things come Winter, also might check the Finns, they pretty passionate about it too.
Ludovico Technique 0 Posted January 13, 2003 Daresay most temporary climate based camo jobs are only done prior to a war kicking off to save money.
