¤Specops¤ 0 Posted January 11, 2003 I went in a game and someone was playing imported sounds by typing it reference on chat (ex : global channel). Anyone know to do it?
Harnu 0 Posted January 12, 2003 You don't actually type anything. You get a sound file, make sure it's .ogg format. You put that file into your player directory like a face. Make a folder called "sounds" and put the sound files into there. Not ingame you can select a custom menu (backspace, radio, then custom) Then the sound plays
LT.Schaffer 0 Posted January 12, 2003 Hi All, 2 things, 1.Make sure the folder is called:Sound not sounds 2.make sure the sound file is 40KB or less other wise it will not show up in the game
Lt_Damage 0 Posted January 12, 2003 3) And don't use them on Gameplanet at all
benu 1 Posted January 14, 2003 Just a word of warning: Many servers have settings which automatically kick anyone having those files. Not when you use them, but right when joining the server. Every server scans all players for those and when the setting is enabled in the server config it kicks those right off while they are joining. So, use at your own risk. Die Alive 0 Posted January 14, 2003 Or better yet.... Join servers without the sound files, ask a clan member or server admin if sounds can be used, then go ahead and use them on that server. Some servers might just ban you without asking you to remove them, so visit without sounds, ask around, or when you connect to a server, it may say in the MOTD (the text that shows up as soon as you connect to a server) some servers have "rules" as part of the MOTD, inculding if sound files are welcomed or not. -=Die Alive=-
