We never fought China directly like that.  We never infiltrated China itself.<span id='postcolor'>

maybe. but i won't be surprised if they decided to go in occasionally to stop convoy or do some recons.

but then again, they would have been defeated by Chinese foods.

The furthest we ever went was into Laos for stopping convoys. And that info isn't "Official". So if they did go into China, it would have only been a few times.

There were some overflights of Chinese airspace to the north, mainly in dog fights close to the boarder.

And there were Chinese and Russian "advisors" on the ground in South Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. There were a number of reports of LRRPs and other recon units observing colums of NVA crossing the boarder into Vietnam and there would be one white male, a foot taller than the rest of the soldiers.

Ya, we fought Russia and China through Vietnam bascially. Just never person agaisnt person. We fought vietnames, advised by Russia and China, and armies partly equiped by them.

Much like the NVA was fighting against S. vietnamese troops who were advised by the U.S. and partly supplied by them.
