Ofp 2 improvements

If it rains the tanks should get dirty.

Also they should get stuck in mud. biggrin.gif

The sea must be better.

If you want to make ofp 2 better,there should be much better graphics.

BIS are running out of version digits smile.gif So they might aswell make OFP 2, but with a slightly better name, like Resistance had. Maybe IL will come out, who knows. smile.gif

Anyway, patch 1.91 is due out any day. All fixes, from what I've read.

With OFP:2 (if BIS decide to make one) they'd probably have to deal with the bigger requests ppl have got, like a more interactive sea environment, in order to be improved enough on OFP:1 to sell well....sounds like a total engine overhaul to me, so we could get things like multiple firing positions on vehicles, destroyable terrain etc. etc.

i just read that the biggest german flashpoint site (operatio-flashpoint.de) (which was closed some time ago) will be relaunched on the 1.1.2003. but thats not the point... in a comment, a team member said that "the successor of ofp will come soon" and that they have insider information about it.... what ever it means...

1.Fixed collision detection problems. Easier editor interface (more user friendly, more noob friendly, more explanation of the interface with included tutorials built into the engine, either as video or text from the editor screen.) 2. Net code more able to handle more players online on lower end systems(If Ghost Recon can host 36 this should be able to host more than 6 or 8 on a medium range system. See battlefield 1942. Figure it out, I don't know.) 3. An included aircraft carrier that supports addon jets also. Full backwards compatibility with older ofp addons.

ild like to see water interaction, floating soldiers coulda t least be implemented bit like a bmp, and bigger MP, have sum high powered servers and build CTI/RTS type map for like 60ppl and have it just reset when one side wins, things like vote for a commander and stuff could be implemented give him the ability to control forces similar to CnC type games in a fitting interface, water interaction large scale mp and multiple gunners/guns on a vechicle is what i want most.

They can't improve the graphics too much because resis is already very, very CPU intensive.
