Rastavovich 0 Posted November 23, 2002 Since the beta test we did a major overhaul on the Tunguska and here is now the product of your feedback and our work. Head over to our page and grab it there. It works for V1.40+. (some) Changes are: - Armor/weapons tweaked - AI wont attack MBTs anymore, but any other target - Textures improved - sounds changed/added - Model improved - interior model changed Mirror should be up on OFP-Zone soon. PS: The "DKMM_Tunguska.txt" is an info file used by OFP Addon Manager, simply copy it with the pbo in your addon folder. PPS: OPFAM 0.95b will not display it 100% correct, but that will be fixed in the next version.

slowyconection 0 Posted November 23, 2002 i dont know why but this tank reminds red alert 2... but very nice one anyway and, r those 2 firin things machine guns or sabot launchers?
Eviscerator 0 Posted November 23, 2002 er, sabot is a weapon round...some machineguns can fire sabot rounds...although i think this one is firing HE
munger 25 Posted November 23, 2002 I like it. The model is great. Engine sound is good. Cannon sound seems a little strange although I wouldn't be surprised if it really did sound like that. The new muzzle flash effect is curious. It's probably realistic but sometimes it looks a little artificial because of the OFP graphics engine. Quite innovative though. Against it's main target of aircraft it is highly effective without being super-powerful. The cannons are very accurate, the missiles less so. Very nice. MAsta_KFC 0 Posted December 1, 2002 Just a question. Right now as I see it, the Tunguska doesn't fire at enemy MBTs. The question is, in real life, if the MBT was the primary threat, wouldn't the crew at least fire at it in defence? Right now, the Tunguska just sits there like a duck and waits to be destroyed. Granted, I doubt there would be times where you'd find a single Tunguska vs an Abrams, but still..? Otherwise an excellent vehicle. Keep up the good work! It's an anti-aircraft point defence vehicle. It protects tanks from aircraft, the tanks protect it from other tanks. It's an old argument. rather than re-starting it, why not just use search to see what has been said in the past?

MAsta_KFC 0 Posted December 1, 2002 I'm not starting an argument, it was just a hypothetical question. Just one more question. In real life, how effective would those AA rockets be if used against MBTs? Is the Tunguska actually capable of targeting ground threats effectively?

Anyway, the SA19's do have a capability against ground targets, but don't have enough of a warhead to damage MBTs, perhaps not even Light armoured vehicles.
