Beta test a imi galil arm .223

Very nice...the model and textures are great!

I know it's a beta, but you do know the weapon and ammo inventory pics aren't there?

Hmm.. it got lost after I ran binarize.. fixed now.. dl again.. :-)

I take no credit for the model.. or the textures.. exept that it was a pain to rescale them to get it to work in O2.. HalfLife is abit more forgiving on texture size.. one was like 516x188 or something.. :-)

I just was missing the Galil in Flashpoint..

I think it is a good idea to port CS weapons into OFP, many people in that community are fantastic at models and textures, I suppose you do not need to ask them, just say that the model and textures were made by them. (This is not directed at you, Bergmania).

I'm going to go check if there are any cool CS models I can import, now. wink.gif

Great work Bergmania, definetly missing in OFP, great for Noone's IDF pack!

Does anyone have a link to Noone's IDF pack? Is it the best IDF pack out so far? It would be nice if someone made a nice "West Bank" map with plenty of Middle Eastern style buildings and stuff.

Check out ofp.info, they have these middle eastern style buildings with a gun bazaar, minaret, mosque, and markets. A pretty cool pack, should be used in a middle-eastern style island.

Here is Noone's IDF units link. There's always VIT's units, but his leave a LOT left to be desired.

Anyway, as it is a cs conversion, i guess it won't support MLOD, but i can live with that wink.gif

However, i miss the magazine pic in inventory, and the custom sights.

From what i can tell from looking at the model they should look more or less like that:

The shadow thing is strange cause it works on my other projects.. but not this one.. maybe model to complex..

MLOD is possible I think as it is a CS to 3DS to O2 convertion..

I was lazy and used the HK optics..

I am still learning here.. :-) started using O2 light 2 days ago..

I think that shadows cannot be projected if the model is too complex, and your galil definetely is a nice model. wink.gif

Yeah, and considering that milkshape and 3ds max can support faces with only 3 points, while o2 can support ones with 4, cs models are gonna have a lot of polys.

I have updated the Galil..

v.0.1

First release.

v.0.2

       Fixed Inventory Image Weapon

v.0.3

       Changed to the bizon "optics"

       Added Custom Magazine Image (inventory)

       Magazine is now own class (galilMag)

       Sligthly lower accuracy (Until I scope the rifle...  biggrin.gif )

       Changed requirements up to v1.40 (for Bizon)

Please modify the Bizon sihghts to real resemble more Galil ones - nothing more annyoing than having many weapons with exactly same sights.

About the iron sight... I finaly found some reference pics on it.... It is a regular aperture/post sight... looks almost like the HK one but the ring around the post is smaller.. The thing (at the rear sight) on the model is the night sight that shouldn't be up unless its night.. biggrin.gif .. I will try to fix it..
