deadsoldier 0 Posted October 30, 2002 Im made an F-15, and its pretty detailed...its 4500 polys right now...might a few little details..so it go up to 5000. tell me if thats ok. or tell me whats ok..and when will it start lagging. akm74 1 Posted October 30, 2002 4500 sound a little bet high for me (+ pilot and + weapons). . If No one will simulate 20 planes in one time, with single plane on screen it maybe fine. Good job! Are you still looking for someone to create a config.cpp for you? If I could do it I would jump at the chance but I don't know enough about them to do it justice. With regular cargo and “riding on top† Look at this screenshot. They look perfect in oxygen, but in game they just not look right. Somehow proxy for cargo move down and on side... deadsoldier 0 Posted October 30, 2002 Thankyou AKM for your offer, but there is a good reason why i went through all the trouble to make the F-15 from scratch. And thats because there isn't one single decent model of the f-15 out there. we have seen many examples of people getting models from the net, like the f-16, mig-29, where they good? ill let u argue about that. The tornado was the only model that i was realy happy with, the model is very accurate, correct proprtions, texture is great, but textures can always be better. So i wanted to create another high qaulity plane for OFP. I had to pause working on my island "555" cause ig ot realy bored of it...so im trying to make a plane. next..im gonna make a chopper. im too anal about detail, but that will be good inthe long run. Im at school now, ill be home in 2 hours to start importing it to O2 then to texture and stuff..ill keep you all updated. cheers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

PLUS weapons PLUS landing gear/ flaps could put you way over 5000. Have you done an interior yet? If I were making this, I would cut out polys that would have the same effect as good textures. But most importatnly, GREAT WORK! OFP needs more great modelers. The BTR-70 is dope, are you going to add custom sitting animations? That could save a lot of hassle. deadsoldier 0 Posted October 31, 2002 Im making the E verision. since its OFP, its more fun to have 2 seater planes, and the E is ground attack. So OFP needs ground attack, dogfights dont exist in OFP. even in mp. Well most of interior is done. the only think i need to add is gears..and weopons, polys and pilot. so yes it go up to 5000 polys.
