staynex 15 Posted May 20, 2016 Hey all, I found a bug in Arma 3 and it is possible to exploit this bug on nearly every Server which supports to sell the content of a car. Here is a link to my video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LvyoP5vfWU), where I explain that bug. The Video is private in YouTube, but if you send me your mail address, I can whitelist you. I don't want to post this exploit public. Maybe you know about this bug, if not, we hope it will be fixed soon. I already wrote this to Dwarden, but I think his spam filter delete all my messages :D You guys do a great job! If you need more information, feel free to contact me. Greenfist 1863 Posted May 20, 2016 Selling car contents isn't a vanilla feature in Arma 3, so you should report this to people who made this mission.
killzone_kid 1332 Posted May 20, 2016 Here is an idea. Make video unlisted and pm link to developers.
staynex 15 Posted May 20, 2016 @Greenfist: Yes, I know that - but this is a bug from Vanilla Arma. You can duplicate every item X times.
pierremgi 4906 Posted May 20, 2016 Duplicating items in Vanilla Arma?... You need at least a code. So, check the code.
staynex 15 Posted May 25, 2016 The Video is no longer private - it is unlisted now. Everybody can access it with this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LvyoP5vfWU I hope you believe me now :) This video were captured in vanilla Arma without any custom code or mods - try it!
Jona33 51 Posted May 25, 2016 Yeah I've just tested it and its confirmed, seems to only be backpacks and not uniforms or vests it works for. Objects like rifles work fine. Also when using any of the duplicated backpacks I get odd visual glitches (upper body and backpack disappears, weird neck thing).

Tajin 349 Posted September 13, 2016 Hmm I remember a similar bug early on with vests and uniforms. I'm pretty sure the objectid for all those cloned backpacks is the same so it should be rather easy to detect it in a script ...at least until it gets fixed. I assume this only happens when you drag it from a dead unit to the vehicle, not when the backpack is directly on the ground, right?
CaptainAzimuth 714 Posted September 13, 2016 Most servers have this bug blocked via. a simple script that prevents players from accessing gear on the ground as long as there's a vehicles in it's close proximity.
staynex 15 Posted September 15, 2016 @Tajin: I can not test the idea to detect the object ID, as BI fixed that bug :) @darksidesixoffical: Bohemia has decided to use a similar solution to fix that bug. You are no unable to access the dead body if you are beside a car. Anyway, thanks for your good ideas! May your ideas help me with some other stuff! THANKS!
