Hostage situation in Moscow

Recommended Posts

-alpha%20group-.jpg

"Alpha" are the russians "premier" counter-terrorist unit, they used to be part of the army until they played a rather prominent part in the 1991 coup attempt, they are now part of the FSB Directorate "T" (the organisation formerly known as KGB).

Yes, I know that journalists are not a bad thing (sort of) in giving us the news, but most of them go and walk around with special forces, giving away their tactics, weaponry, etc.

The things you mentioned were not war, they were other events/places, but war correspondents go and run thru rebel filled streets, or the examples I gave.

look at one fantastic exemple of media stupidity : Munich/Munchen , 1972 , Olympic game , they diffused pictures of german police members climbing the buildings disguised in sportsemn but holding their MPK and all , that way , they've given away the assault that "was oing on" , the operation has been stopped just in time , but if nobody would have stopped the policemen , it would have been a real bloodshed

Their actions are pure terrorism in it's most devious form. They just don't have the balls to fight it face to face so they strike at the civilians, just like IRA, Al-Quaida, Red Brigades, ETA, PA suicide bombers and other scum on this earth.

Man, you are unbelievable you know that? I really find it difficult to respond in a civil way to that. What the fuck else is this but terrorism? Chechnia has been a part of Russia since the 1530's. Chechnya HAD independence in 1996. THEN they decided to try to steal more Russian territory - Dagestan - and they carried out the appartment bombings.

If you want to read about how the poor Chechens started this whole thing,

As far as I'm concerned - there was a war in Afghanistan, and in Spain too!

The point is I would be really scared if the reporters were not present in armed conflicts. Would you really dare to leave information tasks to the armed forces or the government. Talk about being gullable!

Most armed forces and authoroties around the world would rather like to report about success and not the mistakes. That would not provide a very balanced picture - would it?

There is a reason for the lack of free press in dictatorship countries. And thats why it's important to restrain military efforts from ending in real tragedy. The press tends to be rather effective that way (except from the Gulf war - saddly).

Chill, why do you always stand beside the terrorists in all situations??  mad.gif You always say how the Chechens are defending themselves from the evil russians, or how the arabs are defending themselves from the evil Americans. Come on man, get a fucking grip! Comments on how "Russians deserve to be held hostage" do nothing but piss people off, and show that you have no fucking idea about the situations! Next time, dont ever post in a thread about terrorists, okay?

mad.gif

Im starting to think YOU are an arab terrorist, judging from your comments, im wondering why the FBI isnt tracking you down yet. tounge.gif

What are you going to say next, that the WTC attack was from the poor islamic "freedom fighters" defending themselves while on a jihad, since the US has troops in Saudi Arabia?

bgnorway: never thought about the part where governments would be the only ones sending news, i suppose your right about that.

What are you talking about? What they must understand? They are simple people. And what about Chechnya: Chechnya is Russia, like Texas is US, Irland is Great Bretan etc. Learn it by heart.

These 'Freedom fighters' have threatened to kill 10 hostages for every 1 of their own killed. Now where have I heard that before...

Let's hope Dimitri Lukin and his mates will prevail.

If you people don't calm down, then this thread will be closed.

I know emotions run high in a difficult time like this, but if we resort to insults and we forget our superior education, then we lose and they win smile.gif

Also, please keep foreign languages off the board, you are more than welcome to converse in whatever language you wish via forum PM, but the boards are in English.

This was an Ex-RoNiN© announcement. Thank you smile.gif

Well, on one hand, everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how unpopular it is.

On the other hand, however, I am getting fed up with his unfounded comments, just posting random remarks that are bound to raise a hot debate without even justifying them. It comes very close to trolling in my book.

Trolling is against the board rules, however smile.gif So Chill, unless you can back your controversial remarks up, please refrain from doing so smile.gif
