Uh1c version 2 choppers released

Uh1C medevac and the HOG Version 2 are Now released!

OK guys, I took all of your additons and bugs and anyhing else you wanted and added it into the uh1c choppers that I released a few days ago...

The Enemy Infantry Machine gunners now attack the choppers..

Along with a HUGE list of changes..

If anyone is interested I can post the changes here..

We have tested these babies and they work great! in fact we couldn't find anyting else to add or change of them.. finally!

If anyone would like to mirror these choppers.. pls IM me.. i can email you the addon. or just wait for ofp.gamezone.cz to post them.

so start checking that site.. it might show up sooner

The file for the version 2 is called    CaptMooreMod4a.zip

it has the "4a" in it.. not the "4" without the "a"

Here is a current list of bugs and fixes:

- Rudder pedals visible from inside, not from outside.

- The rooftop textures over the cockpit do seem a bit darker than the rest.

- The only other tear/white lines I see is around the base of the VHF/UHF antenna on the rooftop. Right behind the pitot tube.

friendlies can now recognize the chopper at night

choppers now have new names in game  UH-1c:hog and UH-1c:Medevac

It was amazing we found so many.. but since I released the first one.. it gave LOTS of people time to find lots of bugs.

But as far as we can tell.. all are fixed now.

I have a problem with these choppers. When I’m standing next to the chopper looking at it things behind it, like trees and houses, sometimes disappear. I have this problem with the AH6J(AH6v2), MH6J and OH6 choppers too. The only other non official chopper I have, the special operations UH-1H by SelectThis, doesn’t have this problem.

They look really great but it's a bit irritating to have houses and stuff pop up from nowhere when you move around them smile.gif

Is it just me? Maybe its time for a reinstall again.

yeah thats kinda wierd.. it seems to go away when i get further away from them.. not worth a new release :)

This is to do with the way gfx cards work smile.gif

What they do is they draw only what you can see smile.gif What you can't see is not drawn/cached, it is drawn on the spot once it moves into your view area smile.gif

Lower your "frame rate" settings in the graphics options and the problem will probably go away. It has to do with OFP's dynamic LOD switching, I think.

I don’t think this is the problem because culling algorithm(take away things you cant see) in almost every 3D engine only works with static objects not dynamic objects like a  chopper. I rather think it has something to do with the order things are drawn. But I find it strange that other choppers(official and that special operations UH-1H by SelectThis) doesn’t have this problem.

are you planning on making the sounds better maybe? I love everything about the choppers (love the damage textures smile.gif ) but the sounds are way to quiet and the gun sounds...... kinda weak.

I didn't know that they do explode on impact other then normal shapnel from that many bullets spraying at you.

the sounds are to quiet? acutally that chopper engine sound was recorded high and drounds out many other sounds.. the gun sounds are a little quiet but not bad. Uping your volume in the chopper will help both :)

They do explode, atleast on my computer. I open the config and it showed the hit= something less than 50 confused.gif . I had this problem on an addon that did explode on impact and I was trying to edit it not to, when I changed the values then to something below 50, they still exploded. confused.gif This happening to anyone else?

The rounds definitely don't explode for me. Just a small puff like you would see if you fired an M16 into the ground.

Compare it to the 30mm cannon on the AH-1. They explode on impact. Are they the same for you? If so, you definitely have something fishy going on.
