Mr.Sashimi 0 Posted March 21, 2016 I'm annoyed at myself for not thinking of it sooner, as it's usually part of my normal troubleshooting... but I disabled my AVG Free antivirus and the game launches perfectly, like it should. Even after AVG comes back on (I just disabled it for 10 minutes and tried starting the game), it doesn't seem to affect stability. Why it won't let the game start, but has no problem with it while it's running... well, who knows. So my problem is "resolved" inasmuch as it's not a Bohemia issue. Thanks to razazel for the offer of help, and I hope the other folks having the issue can find a resolution as well. I guess all I can add is "try disabling your av". I tought it was AVG at a moment, but my keep having the same error every time I don't play Arma 3 in multiplayer anymore I only play solo and this crash happens every time i go to fast to point A to a point B or when i make a save at any moment, or just when I play more then 15 minutes Here's my crash report: http://www.mediafire.com/download/v6538k4z6cpblmw/ArmaReport_Log_20160320T122219_MendozaXJohann.zip i will send another crash report without mods

Insanely Me 0 Posted March 21, 2016 Hello, I'm sad to jump into this ship too... It's the very first time I have a problem with ArmA that I can't fix myself. I get "0x00000001 – UNABLE_TO_INIT_DXGI" either at random points while playing different modes, or at specific points in certain missions. I've tried everything from new drivers, old ones, slightly incompatible ones, reinstalled windows, arma, steam... To no avail. Here are links to my dropbox where anyone who'd like to help can get my logs (autogenerated error-report) with mods: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n2yzujzyrhxjz5x/ArmaReport_Log_20160318T195043_Angel.zip?dl=0 and without mods (there is no difference whatsoever, I crash either way with the same error code): https://www.dropbox.com/s/srm9tsun9nh6xcs/ArmaReport_Log_20160321T173705_Angel_noMods.zip?dl=0 Edit: I found this: https://communities.intel.com/thread/46821?start=0&tstart=0, which might be useful for people running the game on an HD 4000. leonhardle20@hotmail.com 0 Posted April 20, 2016 Suddenly since today the games chashes when i join a server and then try to "leave" the lobby to start playing. No mods running. PS: The Serverbrowser fucks my internet up for about 5min. And its not a good browser anyway... e.g. the favorites should just show up instantly. The game is keeping crash when I access the map. After crash, the saves are missing and I have to start again. Even some missions got their own saving system (anti-altis), it did not work. However, some local missions (not download from workshop) can store the saves properly which can resume after crash. Maybe you guys want to try to add the mission files into mission folder manually and start the mission from local to avoid saves missing. I think this problem is related to memory allocating. Sometimes when we open the map, arma 3 apply more memory to do this command. However, the operation system can not provide memory or arma 3 can not get such memory in some reason. Then, CRASH!!!! I think, only loading required mods and disabling not related mods is another potential way to solve this problem. But, HEY, it is not a random problem because it occurs among many of us when we do the same action in the game. May be fixed in the next update?

MaxValentiner 3 Posted April 27, 2016 Hi, guys! Yesterday I had some positive experience: I deleted DLL folder from Arma 3 directory, about 10 minutes the FPS in game has low down, and I started Steam cash verification of Arma files. After that I have been playing single mission nearly an 1,5 hour without any crashes. The map accession is works well too. If I have tonight a time, I will continue my experiments.

I decide to try your methods. Actually, I update my graphic card driver and change some parameters, also do the steam verification. But, it did not work. Crash when I open the map. Have you attend the DEV in recent update? I also encounter this problem in one DEV version. I think may be when we shift to the stable version, steam updater did not overwrite the unstable DLL with previous version which cause such annoying crash. What do you think?
ceeeb 147 Posted April 27, 2016 The crash on opening map issue in 1.58 is likely the same issue as this: [1.58] Non-existant task causes CTD, which was reportedly fixed in today's Dev branch changelog. Hopefully 1.58 will get a hotfix.

So, it is not likely the problem of Windows version. ceeeb has suggested something useful for the developer. Maybe I just need to wait the new update release. :D Actually, using "GPS" and "J" can avoid this error if you want to check your tasks and map. :P

razazel 625 Posted April 29, 2016 I just got this "error" problem. Can someone please help?! I re installed twice already. I hate that this "error" keeps showing up! Hello Bryan, thanks for letting us know. Now, here are few tips that you might try to get rid of this issue. https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Unusual_process_exit#0xC0000005_-_ACCESS_VIOLATION Please make sure that this error is not caused by any conflict between mods, try to run vanilla version, if you will still encounter this issue, please send me your crashdumps. Crashdump (mdmp + rpt + bidmp) files should be located in this directory: <drive>:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Once you have those files ready, zip them up and upload them to some free file sharing service (Dropbox or Google Drive for example) and PM me the link to those files so we can look into that. Thanks :)
GrooveDJ 38 Posted April 30, 2016 All of a sudden I can't play anymore....... Rebooting, reinstalling, nothing works... can anyone show me where to put -malloc=system in the launch parameter? If anyone has any other solution, i'll be happy to hear it. Otherwise i might have to quit playing Arma,...
HeroesandvillainsOS 1504 Posted April 30, 2016 Either add -malloc=system to your launch parameters in Steam or go to the launch parameters section in the launcher and select system from the memory drop down list.
GrooveDJ 38 Posted April 30, 2016 I think I have solved it. The -malloc=system didn't work for me so I started unloading one mod after the other and I found out that the 'Australia' mod is probably causing it for me. When I load it, I get the crash, when I unload it Arma works.
