Clive Barker's Undying

Recommended Posts

I beat this game numerous times. Apart from the awesome creepy and scary environment and plot, it was one of the first game that had that weapon+skill progress similar to BioShock and they were all fun as hell! My favorite was scythe + speedy gonzales spell but everything else was fun too!

If you're playing for the first time, make sure to use the 'nightvision' spell A LOT, it has double functionality. ;)

Christ I remember this. I remember approaching a table at the end of a corridor that had a mirror behind it. On the table were some badly needed shotgun shells. As I approached the table, seeing myself reflected in the mirror, I saw some horrible floating guy appear behind me, and when I spun around to see him he flicked out of existence just as I did. Freaked me out :)

Still unbeatable even today in "brown pants" department.Everything was so well done, sound, gameplay, those goddamn howlers, the creepy ghost dude with chains that you can see his true form later, that city from another realm and so many other things.Indeed underrated for such a great game.

I didn´t play this game, though I remember that it was supposed to be really really good but ended up to be a commercial desaster due to basically non existant marketing (EA fucked up). Might have to take a look at this.

Pretty good game with good atmosphere and spell mechanic but I personally wasn't really scared of it. Oddly enough, there's only a handful of games out there that feature Lovecraftian lore (e.g. Quake 1, Call of Cthulhu, Undying, etc), even though it's one of the more interesting themes.

I would also recommend Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth if you haven't played it.:)

Loved this game on my AMD Barton PC!

Was released roughly the same time as OFP, but i fear it hasn´t aged as well :D
