IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 13, 2015 Made some prototypes for new headgear and MXs, just for the desert scheme for now. Made single-coloured assets for regular forces and digi ones for spec-ops. First, helmet comparisons of the regulars. Left, the original (green) Combat Helmet, a khaki rework (matches the vest) in the middle, and a khaki version of the Light Combat Helmet in the right picture: Then I europeanised the MX rifle. Left and right sides of the orginal: And the revised version ('HK' is of course fictional and any similarities to a well known, slightly crooky German arms producer are pure coincidental ;)): Finally, two shots of a spec-op with digital vest, helmet, and gun cover in colours matching his uniform. Left with Enhanced Combat Helmet and right with the Light Combat Helmet: What do you think?
IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 16, 2015 Tough piece of work but I did it. Created two different rifles for each MX version and scheme and two helmets for each scheme, totaling in 30 different helmets (3 helmet models * 2 camo versions * 5 schemes) and 50 rifles (5 rifle models * 2 camo versions * 5 schemes). An incomplete comparison below. In the left side of every image are regular units and spec-ops on the right. As said before, I used single coloured elements for regulars and digi camo'ed for special forces. Also cleaned / re-texed the MX magazines, never really liked that stock digi pattern. Altis scheme, green vest, sand-green helmet, green-sage rifle vs. Altis digi vest, helmet and rifle: Black scheme, black vest, black-grey helmet, black rifle vs. black digi vest, helmet and rifle: Desert scheme, khaki vest, khaki-sand helmet, sand rifle vs. desert digi vest, helmet and rifle: Snow scheme, white vest, white-grey helmet, white rifle vs. snow digi vest, helmet and rifle: Woodland scheme, green vest, green helmet, dark-green-light-green rifle vs. woodland digi vest, helmet and rifle: It still needs some testing but I think the new textures fit their target environments. Also need to make sure that there are no errors in my configs and that I didn't miss a unit.

loopdk 92 Posted July 19, 2015 I cant make the IP_CSAT_ST work..... when i put i IP_CSAT_ST in fraktions in ALIVE mods i only get helicoptors and no units... i get this error http://peecee.dk/uploads/072015/arma3_2015_07_19_16_52_03_608.png When i remove the IP_CSAT_ST frome fractions its works perfect i tryede with the mod from pw6 and armahoolic What to do
IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 19, 2015 I don't know, I've never used Alive. CfgGroups is defined as shown in their wiki: http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Unit_Mod_Config_Standardisation Either another Alive user in this thread knows more than me or you might want to ask in the Alive thread if they can spot an error in my configuration. loopdk 92 Posted July 19, 2015 the alive guys: Both of the above issues are most likely to do with the addon configs, which sadly we can't do anything about on our side. Often quite simple things like the spelling being different to BIS standards (mechanised instead of mechanized for example) will prevent the groups being detected properly. Is it poseble you cout have a look :D o reallyu like to use the mod

IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 19, 2015 Seems like I've made a configuration error. Strange, it also shouldn't work with EF units but there are missions out there using Alive and EF. Anyway, fixes will come with the next update. ETA unknown, probably soon, together with the new headgear and rifles for EF units.

Moon_chilD 200 Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) The Dropbox release is somehow missing on the classname table! Anyway, I'm excited to use the update. I'm really looking forward to the helmets and weapons!^ Edit: Also, some weapons have REALLY strange textures. Lets take the MX (Altis). The Butt is Dark Green, the Magazin is light green with a Digital Camo, the cover is in a bluish green neon digi camo and the handle is Sand Brown! Many, if not all weapons have that. Same goes for the Helmets "altis", "desert", "snow", "white"! Edited July 23, 2015 by Moon_chilD
IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 23, 2015 @Moon: oO Can you take screenshots?
Moon_chilD 200 Posted July 23, 2015 Actually quite funny, I can see the same on the pictures you provided before: http://abload.de/image.php?img=2015-07-16_00001znu31.jpg (I should have checked the forum more often! xD)
IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 23, 2015 Okay, what is wrong with the digi patterns?^^ The MX rifles are two-coloured / digi as SF version. (Even the orignal sand MX comes in different colours for cover, mag, and stock.) But colours are open for discussion. I've still noticed some config errors, and need to upload a hotfix. Stand by.
Moon_chilD 200 Posted July 23, 2015 Yeah, okay so it seems to be intended. Then here comes my suggestions: While the Butt is not the problem (so in my opinion it could stay dark green) you should really use the color you used for the magazin for the cover to. That is, in my opinion to much blue. Same goes for the snow. I think the blue color would cause enemies to see you easier... (I mean in real life. AI doesn't care xD) I would say...again my opinion...use the same colors you use for the uniform. Meaning also on the example of the Altis version: Make the dark green Butt light green! I really love the uniforms and having the weapons in the same color would be awesome.
IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 23, 2015 Uhm, there is no blue. In none of the weapons. Either I'm colourblind, my beloved EIZO monitor is damaged, or the download is corrupted. Does anyone else see blue things? Or differently coloured mags? (Because, in any case, they have the same colour as the cover on my machine.) Hotfixed release is up on steam and dropbox. Just re-download from the links above. The classnames.csv is inside the realease folder as well.

kbbw123 115 Posted July 23, 2015 its not directly blue.... its more like baby blue combined with spotify green
IndeedPete 1038 Posted July 23, 2015 Okay, since we're completely confused here as I now have reports of some people seeing blue / turquoise assets and other people (including me) see the colours as they should be, could you please compare these two pics below? Left is the Sage texture as it is applied and right is the raw version without filters applied.
Moon_chilD 200 Posted July 23, 2015 I think I destroy poor old Pete atm. Is there anybody on where it works with the right colors? I certainly had one who saw them right!
