IliektingsdatgoBOOOM 0 Posted September 16, 2002 Today or tomorrow the National Geographic channel is showing the live "opening" of one of the "ventilation" shafts in the great pyramide. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/ Another step forward in discovering the great ancient civilization of the Egyptians and perhaps of the world itself =) *keeps fingers crossed* Greetings
red oct 2 Posted September 16, 2002 i heard on the news that its believed that the China Empire is much older the the Egyption empire. though i can't really prove it, and i don't even think it has been proven.
Ex-RoNiN 0 Posted September 16, 2002 If they find a stargate( ), or indeed anything else apart from "normal" Pyramide inventory (mummies, gold, dust, spiders, bugs, etc. ) then I promise you I will eat my shoes naked in front of a webcam And you are all invited to watch
red oct 2 Posted September 16, 2002 no you won't cuzz that would violate the "No posting of obscene images" rule. besides i have my doubts about this pyramide exploration. i think its just some fixed up set to attract viewers to their somewhat boring public channel. at least it sure did seem like it on that Fox channel Egyt special. KingBeast 0 Posted September 16, 2002 Why would you think its some kind of a media set up? :/ Its a quite important archeological event, who knows what will be found in the chamber (ancient writings, gold, tools etc) The fact that it can be televised is just a bonus that people of our generation are lucky to have

Paratrooper 0 Posted September 16, 2002 We are lucky that the Egyptians wrote so much down. If they had been helped by 'Aliens' to build the great Pyramids then they would have written about it!
DarkLight 0 Posted September 16, 2002 Who were that guys that burned all those documents about deseases and stuff like that? If that didn't happen there'd be a lot more known these days....

IliektingsdatgoBOOOM 0 Posted September 16, 2002 Well there are numerous specualtions about whats behind it. Any way i believe some pyramide texts do talk about the great pyramide having multiple "secret" chambers. Im actually hoping they find a library of some sort with all the ancient knowledge. And perhaps a reference about Atlantis. (i know im abit of an excitement junky when it comes to this, but ill be happy even if they discover nothing) Anyway i do think this is a major event overall and im gonna love tomorrow's documentary and all the studies that will be done with whatever they find. There have been a few Pyramids found with carvings on the wall that actualy date back hundreds of years, with Astronauts and rocket ships that actualy look like rocket ships. Explanation? They are frauds? The Mayans and Aztecs were just drawing stuff for fun? They actualy had contact with aliens?
